Wu Nian and Kang Chen didn't get up until almost noon. Upon waking, they heard that Tongtong was sick, and the two grown men suddenly felt utterly ashamed.
The daughter is sick, the family is busy tending to the child, yet these two grown men were... snoring away in bed. Isn't this a slap in the face for them? This was supposed to be what they should be doing, right?
Wu Nian shot Kang Chen a look, wishing he could launch a thousand needles to pin him down.
Kang Chen saw Wu Nian's expression and chuckled...
Wu Nian: "From today on, I'm never playing chess with you again."
Kang Chen: "Like I care about it."
So the two started a cold war, ignoring each other.
Xia Mu's medicine worked wonders, and the next day Tongtong was basically all better, got up early, and even planned to go out.
Upon hearing this, the adults shook their heads: "It's so cold outside, you shouldn't go. You've just recovered from a cold, what if you catch a chill again?"
