"Dad, give me back my phone..."
A soft voice could faintly be heard, pleading lowly.
"Bang!"
The phone was hung up amidst a roar of fury.
Mark Reed only felt a slight pain in his ears.
He put down the phone, gazing woodenly ahead as the guests gradually departed, while his father slowly walked over towards the parking lot with Janice Clark supporting him.
"What are you planning to do now?"
Sitting in the passenger seat, Eluard Jack looked at Mark Reed with an infuriatingly sympathetic expression.
Ah, it was nothing but sympathy, just sympathy.
Luckily, Mark Reed didn't see it, otherwise he'd surely land a punch on him; Mark Reed doesn't need sympathy, he's a very proud person.
"Should we call Sharry Vaux over and give her a beating, or have her publish an apology?"
Mark Reed smiled coldly.
Even killing Sharry Vaux wouldn't fundamentally solve the problem; it would only make things more complicated.
