Chapter 1915 - Chapter 1918: Escape

Mother Barton sighed with regret. Her daughter was already twenty-eight, though she still looked like she was in her early twenties. Yet, her youth was silently slipping away, and she couldn't afford to delay any longer.

If only Mark Reed could turn over a new leaf, she might accept it, but her husband was determined to break them apart.

He had his reasons, and it was inconvenient for her to say more. As long as it was for her daughter's own good, she would wholeheartedly support it.

"Mom, you should go downstairs. Let me have some time alone."

With her mother by her side, Madison Barton felt anxious, her heart hanging in her throat, beating erratically.

If her mother found the rope she had made, there would be no escape.

Perhaps she'd never see him again in this lifetime.

Madison's hand trembled unconsciously, hidden behind her, not daring to let her mother see.
