Valentine Teller was shaken by Turstin Muller to the point of seeing stars; her head felt dizzy. She grasped his arm, trying hard to steady herself.
"Turstin, listen to me, listen to me, don't get excited."
"Just say it!" Turstin Muller, startled by his own loss of control, quickly withdrew his hand and apologized in a low voice: "I'm sorry, I'm sorry."
"It's okay."
Valentine Teller held her dizzy head, took a deep breath, and poured out the emotional entanglement between herself and Mark Reed.
Turstin Muller widened his eyes in disbelief, staring at Valentine Teller. He always thought she didn't know Mark Reed, but it turned out they not only knew each other but had been together.
"I'm sorry, I really didn't mean it, I didn't know your relationship with him, nor did I know his intention to use me to get back at you, I'm sorry!"
Apart from saying sorry, Valentine Teller didn't know what else to say.
Facing the innocent Turstin Muller, she felt deeply guilty.
