"As you wish." Valentine Teller responded indifferently, saying no more.
No matter what Mark Reed said, Valentine Teller only replied perfunctorily. Her attitude left him feeling very disappointed.
After dropping her off at the company, before leaving, Mark Reed held her hand and spoke sincerely, "No matter how things were in the past, now, I love you and I won't let go."
Gazing into his deep eyes, Valentine Teller's heart throbbed with pain, and with a slight smile, she withdrew her hand from his and said lightly, "Got it, goodbye."
She opened the door to get out of the car, but was called back by him.
"Valentine."
She turned back, smiling at him.
"I was wrong before, I'm... sorry..."
He was apologizing to her; whether his sincerity was real or not, she couldn't tell. Whether it was an apology for the past or for the present, she couldn't tell either.
But one thing she knew was that she wouldn't marry Mark Reed, nor would she marry Turstin Muller.
