"Already... eaten?"
This is a nightmare, absolutely a nightmare.
He had lost all hope, watching Valentine Teller with heart-wrenching pain.
The sweat on her forehead, her pale face, and her tightly bitten lips—none of these were things he wanted to see. He turned his eyes away, and everything in the room became blurry, nothing was clear.
"Yes, eaten. The child is gone, I'm sorry, Mark Reed, forgive me, I'm sorry."
The tears she had been holding back surged out at this moment, flowing down her cheeks. Her heart hurt, and her stomach hurt even more.
She couldn't face him anymore, she wished she could just faint and know nothing. How great would it be if after waking up, all the problems had been solved, and he had forgiven her.
This could only be her wish. Despite the pain, she never fainted, nor did she know when she would get his forgiveness.
"Mark, Mark..."
