"If not here, then where?" Janice Clark turned back, looking at Valentine Teller's worried face, reached out her hand, brushed aside the bangs on her forehead, revealing her smooth skin and untouched brows, and momentarily lost herself.
Valentine smiled awkwardly at Janice, her words tinged with melancholy, "I can go back to the apartment I used to share with friends. The lease hasn't expired yet."
"Sigh..." Janice sighed, pondering for a moment, then said, "You shouldn't leave. Stay here. Believe me, Mark will be back soon."
Valentine remained silent, not knowing whether Mark Reed really wanted her gone, but she indeed didn't want to stay here any longer.
Rather than sleeping alone in a double bed, she would prefer the single bed back at the rented place.
"I'll head back first. Listen to Auntie and stay here."
