Mark Reed turned around, saw Valentine Teller, and a smile flashed in his eyes.
"What brings you here?" He stood up under Janice Clark's gaze and walked out, holding little Neenan's hand.
"Came to check on uncle." Valentine Teller shoved the fruit basket into Mark Reed's hands, asking with concern, "How is uncle? Is he okay?"
Mark Reed replied sadly, "He's not awake yet, don't know when he will wake up."
Janice Clark looked at Neenan, feeling uneasy.
Before entering the Reeds, she had heard Mark Reed had a daughter, with an unknown birth mother.
She didn't mind before, but now that her own daughter is marrying Mark Reed, this child has become a thorn in her heart, and she just can't seem to like her.
But seeing Valentine Teller so fond of that little girl, she didn't reveal her true emotions.
Janice Clark crouched down and pulled Neenan over: "Neenan, I am your grandma, call grandma."
Neenan looked at her timidly, without speaking.
"Call grandma."
