The next day, Valentine Teller went to the kindergarten to pick up Nian Nian. On the way, Mark Reed called, saying there was a dinner engagement he couldn't skip that evening.
Valentine understood his predicament and reminded him, "Drink less and come back early."
Mark said, "Honey, where are you now? Come with me. If you're there, they won't force me to drink."
"Forget it, I won't go.
" Valentine wasn't fond of social engagements and preferred the ease and joy of going home to cook herself a bowl of noodles.
"Alright, I'll try to come back early. Bye-bye."
"Bye!"
Just as she hung up, the phone rang again; Turstin Muller's voice came from the other end: "Brother has a dinner and won't be home. Let's take Nian Nian to have steak!"
Valentine asked in surprise, "How did you know Mark had dinner plans?"
"He just called to ask me to join, but I turned him down," Turstin said, "I'm waiting for you at Floating Western Restaurant. Bring Nian Nian over!"
