Cara took her book to the front counter, where the Librarian was reading Opal's new book hidden inside the dust cover of a book entitled "Organizational Efficiency for the Modern Immortal". The woman barely looked up until she realized it was Cara in front of her.
"I need to sign this book out."
"Have you brought back your other title?"
"Not yet. There are still extinct species in the book that I haven't found yet."
The Librarian decided not to question that one.
"Alright, this is your second title, you are now at your withdrawal limit. Please do remember to bring your books back on time. This one is less limited, as the schools have their own copies, but the rule is the same."
"Got it. Don't worry, I'm bringing it to binge with a blue dragon friend of mine."
That should assure the Librarian that the book was safe.
