Despite their assertion that the Green Dragons mellowed with age, Karl did notice that when she sat back down, Skadi was on her lap, and the two were talking about the forest in quiet voices that wouldn't distract from the conversation.
So much for not getting sidetracked.
The man chosen as spokesman took over the conversation. "Now, as we were saying, this team has been assembled from the battlefields second and third string fighters to come reinforce the branch. We all have some sort of crafting skill, plus relatively low combat power and potential for Darklight Host members."
He paused, and Karl winked at him. "So, what you're saying is that you're all unlikely to become Legends in the near future. I might not be too well versed in the Darklight Host's other branches, but I know what the favour of the World Dragon can do."
"It's good that you understand. Yes, we're all a few hundred or a few thousand years from Legendary, even under optimal conditions.
