For a second, nothing happened. And then, finally, an excruciating pain burned inside every single fiber of her body.
Scarlett had a natural resistance to pain, as well as a pain nullification skill, but it wasn't at a unique skill level. Sure, Scarlett had trained with Avion in a part of hell, a place with a densely high temperature where she had bathed in its lava, which had a same temperature comparable to core of the sun.
But what she was feeling now was a thousand times hotter than she had ever felt there.
Her entire body started to glow with light green and orange energy. It felt like her insides were being melted down, only to be forced to regenerate again and again, over and over.
"Hot... hot... too hot!" Scarlett gasped, the words a ragged breath. She was fighting to keep her thoughts clear, but her mind was starting to jumble in itself.
But with each passing second, the pain only grew worse. Her entire body was glowing so brightly now, especially from her open mouth and eyes, that light was even piercing through the thick fabric of her blindfold. It felt like she would blast into countless pieces any second now.
Unable to handle the agony, she instinctively started flying through space, with no particular destination in mind, like a mindless meteor. She went back and forth, screaming in pain, her constantly increasing glow making her look exactly like some kind of burning meteoroid streaking across the blackness.
"I need to take this blindfold off," she thought to herself, knowing with terrifying certainty that the blindfold acted as a cage keep her powers in check. Taking it off would surely enhance her overall body several times over.
But it also had its own risks. Scarlett had, of course, trained with Lilith to control the powers of her eyes for longer periods of time, but her power, which passively increased every single second, made it incredibly hard to get used to.
Not to forget, right now, when she already had so much unstable energy inside her, if she were to fail to control herself, the energy released from her might be even stronger than a kilonova explosion. It could reduce the planet, or maybe even the entire galaxy, to dust.
But currently, her mind was in too much chaos to think about any of that rationally.
With her trembling hands, she tried to reach out towards her face, all while constantly flying in random directions.
"C'mon... c'mon," she muttered, her fingers trembling against her cheek, the tip barely touching the edge of the blindfold.
She couldn't help but remember Kroenen's story of how they got this blindfold, and how after making Medusa, the gorgon queen, wear it, it had drained her so much, so fast, that she didn't even have time to take it off before she died.
"Just come out, dammit!"

Meanwhile, on the battlefield below, the battle was turning into its most heated, peak moment. And with every second that passed, Dreadhaven's situation only grew worse.
Reiza moved swiftly between multiple enemies, either breaking their bones with one swift, brutal motion or ripping their limbs apart in a fluid dance of destruction. She spotted a nearby robot, about fifteen meters tall, and directly jumped towards it.
BAM!...
She delivered a devastating kick to its back, but the moment the impact subsided, it had only left a big dent bulging inwards at best.
At the same time, the robot moved its body, trying to catch Reiza's leg in its metallic grip. But before it could, she turned around swiftly, slipping away just as its grip started to tighten, and retreated a few meters back.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
The robots fired several laser shots towards her. Reiza immediately moved back and forth, dodging them every time. The laser shots could only hit the ground, but no matter where they landed, they left a huge blast, indicating their raw explosive power.
Meanwhile, Reiza moved again, dodging its bullets, mini-missiles, and laser beams. Jumping in one powerful leap, she landed on its back.
Her grip tightened around its metal neck, her veins popping up and her muscles bulging as she poured all her strength into her arm.
KACHA!...
The entire head, which was about half the size of her body, separated from its robotic body with a sickening crunch. Electric sparks filled its body as several malfunctions occurred before it finally stopped moving.
"Killing these bastards takes too much time," she sighed, frustration clear in her voice.
Her eyes traveled across her surroundings. She could see so many robots fighting off against Dreadhaven's army.
No matter who they were, they were definitely having a hard time dealing with those things. Even Reiza herself needed a minute or more than that to defeat just one.
Because of this, Mystveil's army was getting a breather time, which Dreadhaven's side was trying their best to not give them.
But it seemed, slowly but surely, Mystveil's army was getting used to the environment. After all, despite having no actual war experience, they were still trained elite knights, not some random hired mercenaries.
As Reiza was just catching her breath, she saw three more giant robots coming towards her, almost twice the size of the one she had just finished off. They had inbuilt laser shooting machines, alongside with three other arms for physical destruction.
"It's gonna be tough," Reiza thought to herself, the three giant robots's shadows looming over her.
But then—BAM!...
Not some huge blast or anything, just a normal BAM!... of something like two metals colliding.
And then, one by one, all three of them started falling to the ground, their entire metal bodies opening up into junk scraps.
"Huh?" Reiza's eyes slightly widened in pure surprise because she had expected only lunatic to be capable of destroying those giant robots in such a short amount of time.
With her ultimate skill : Absolute Offense.
But it was none other than her brother, Rin.
"Are you alright?" he asked, smiling lightly, his giant war hammer resting on his shoulders.
"Huh? When did you become so strong?" Reiza asked in pure surprise.
"Ohh, that? Even I was surprised at first, but it seems my unique skill, Die Hard, is the true nemesis of those weird golems," he said. "I can destroy most of them with one attack. At best, it takes three."
Reiza's mood lifted up even more. "That's great news! There's no time, go and defeat as many robots as you can, but make sure to form a group who can protect you, don't go wandering alone. While I'll focus on defeating those humans."
"Aye!" Rin gave a salute and immediately turned around. Meanwhile, Reiza turned in the opposite direction, targeting humans instead of robots.
She went around, unleashing her wrath once again, but as she was on her way, she saw a fat guy walking around, eating a bunch of food like he was at a party instead of a war.
His body had just too much fat, clearly bulging beyond normal humans, definitely above two hundred pounds, its skin falling down because of the heavy weight. His fingers had layers of spices, cheese, and sauce as he continuously ate.
"Pay attention to your surroundings!" Reiza shouted, launching a direct kick at his head.
BAM!...
As expected, the fat guy was too slow to react. The kick landed accurately.
But instead of getting his head separated in one go, nothing happened.
"Huh?" Before Reiza could realize anything, an invisible force sent her flying back.
As if someone had landed a really powerful kick on her.
The fat guy finally paid attention to her, seeing her green skin and extremely tall body.
"An oni?" he asked, his confused face turning into a wide grin.
"Never defeated an oni before. I guess today is my day," he chuckled.
"Stop your bullshit!" Reiza shouted, moving at blinding speed.
She pulled back her hand and then—BAAMMMM!...
She delivered a blow so powerful that it was enough to give a tight snapping sound, and the air rippled through the whole space.
But the next moment.
"Gah!..." Spit came out of her mouth unknowingly.
Her abdomen bent inwards as if someone had just given a really powerful punch to her stomach.
She was sent flying away by dozens of meters, her body rubbing against the ground before slowing down.
"Tch! What is happening?" Reiza banged her fist on the ground out of anger and frustration.
