Chapter 665 - Chapter 661: Waiting

"Commander, everyone has been repaired. Should we prepare to set off now?" M1 Garland walked into the bridge and handed a list of material inventory to Renault.

"No hurry, let them do their own thing. We still have to wait for a while."

"Uh, okay." Hearing this, M1 Garland subconsciously looked at the screen above the console. The symbols representing the military and Sangvis were entangled with each other, clearly indicating a stalemate.

After a few glances, M1 Garland understood why Renault had not called them to prepare for battle. The current situation showed the armored units of Sangvis and the military are mixed together, constantly fighting non-stop.

The armored trains and Artillery Platforms were still bombarding each other.

Both sides were like stubborn opponents consuming their own resources, and the military's armored trains didn't seem to have an advantage.

Rushing down now, even if they wiped out the other side, they could only pick up some weapons and ammunition that they would never use ordinarily.

There was no advantage to be gained. If there were, Renault would have rushed down to kill the military commanders based on his usual style.

Besides, the military was only using ordinary automatons. It was unknown whether there were people inside the armored train. If there were any living soldiers, they would probably only be the ones guarding the command vehicle.

Even if they rushed down and knocked out all the droids and soldiers, what would happen?

They'd gain a command vehicle which was very useless for him, an outdated armored train that might even be just a test product and too cumbersome to carry, and some armored units that were insignificant to the military.

It was like rushing into someone else's pool and scooping a bucket of water and throw it to the pool owner to vent anger.

It wasn't a big deal, and going down was even a little ridiculous to think about now...

"Isn't that our gunship?"

As she thought about it, M1 Garand caught a glimpse of the gunship quietly approaching the military-controlled area in the distance. Although she knew UMP45 and the others had taken the gunship, she didn't expect their destination to be so close to the military.

"Yes, they went to retrieve a Griffin doll. We might have to help deliver it to Griffin's transport plane later."

Although the military is fighting with Sangvis, no one can predict the possibility of stray bullets not hitting them.

Griffin has already lost a transport plane in this area, and it's uncertain whether any subsequent transport planes will dare to come.

With nothing to do, M1 Garand sat down on the bridge, staring at the screen with wz.29, watching the battle below.

The two sides are fighting fiercely now, but at this rate, it won't take long to decide the winner.

When both sides are defeated, the commander should take action, right?

Thinking about it this way, Architect seemed pitiful. The Artillery platform she built with great effort was destroyed by the military.

"Commander, if we wait until they finish fighting, won't the military try to find us?"

After all, they have been to big cities before, and most of the military and other forces already know about their ship.

"Then don't let them find us."

Hearing Renault's words, wz.29 was stunned, then looked at M1 Garand helplessly.

Don't let the military find them... This seems unlikely, right?

Their spaceship is so big that it must have been recorded by various military equipment. Even if the interference is strong now, as soon as the military comes to clean up the battlefield afterward, they will be discovered.

It's just a matter of time.

Of course, Renault didn't care too much. After all, this has happened more than once or twice. After killing those attackers before, there was no significant reaction. This time won't be much different.

As long as they didn't find out immediately, it was enough.

Wait until later? Then who knows how long they would have to wait...

After Renault finished speaking, he sat in front of the main console, his hands flying back and forth on the controls.

Wz.29 and M1 Garand didn't see what Renault was doing.

...

UMP45 drove the gunship slowly along the treetops in the forest. "With the interference so strong, how did this doll send out the distress signal?"

With this level of interference, even a large communicator would find it difficult to send the signal out, right?

"Griffin's safe house has a fixed line, but the line was cut off just after she sent out the distress signal. It was probably affected by the attack of Sangvis or the military." M4 scratched her cheek and said.

The lines used in the safe house are both new and old. The safe house where the doll is located should use the older lines. After the military and Sangvis started fighting, those aging lines likely had problems.

"Okay, that makes sense." Leaning on the seat, UMP45 controlled the gunship with one hand and gradually approached the building hidden in the woods ahead.

The building looked very old, its style suggesting it was a product from before the Third World War. It might be an antique building hundreds of years old.

With such facilities, it's no wonder the lines are aging...

The gunship landed carefully in the open space in front of the building, but because the area was not large, the gunship inevitably crushed a small fountain in the open space.

"This should be fine. At such a close distance, try to see if you can get in touch. If not, use the communicator on the gunship," UMP45 said, pointing to the communicator in front of UMP40.

"Okay." M4 nodded, calmed down, and began trying to contact the Griffin doll who sent the distress signal.

AK12 and the other four, who were sitting in the cabin, suddenly stood up. "Well, we have other tasks, so we'll leave first."

"Okay, take care." UMP45 waved to AK12 with a smile, watching the four people jump out of the cabin.

"Mission? When did they receive the mission? They don't seem to be able to contact their commander, right?" HK416 looked at AK12 and the others disappearing into the forest with some surprise.

"They borrowed a cell phone from someone else and made a call in the workshop earlier, so it must have been then," M16 said, leaning back in her chair and looking in the direction AK12 left.

"Okay, but now it seems there will be no enemies here, and this will turn into another sightseeing tour." HK416 shrugged her shoulders, looking at G11 who was sitting next to her, staring at her cell phone screen, and sighed.

"You asked for this yourself. Don't complain if there's no battle," UMP45 said as she took out her phone.

MDR couldn't stay idle and wanted her to help shoot the battle video. She wasn't interested in holding up her phone to film everything at this time, but there was nothing to do now.

"I'm just talking." HK416 was speaking, but M4 looked up, with an expression on her face that was a little... awkward?

"What's wrong? M4? Could it be that the doll has escaped?"
