In Drax's eyes, everyone's movements seemed to slow down.
It was not time control, per se, but rather a heightened perception of motion.
Drax had always been exceptionally sensitive to movement, but this time, his understanding and perception of motion had reached an unprecedented level, far beyond anything he had ever experienced before.
He could subtly feel himself taking control of the motion around him. Even the slow-acting poison coursing through his body was being consciously slowed, delaying the rate at which it gnawed away at him.
By the time he withdrew his weapon, everyone who had surrounded him was already lying on the ground.
Drax let out a deep breath.
That transcendent feeling—that brief moment of enlightenment—was truly exhilarating, as though his eyes had been opened to an entirely new world.
"The Dao, huh..."
Drax decided that he would eventually head to the Lalrem Empire, but not yet.
