Chapter 191 - Chapter 191: You Win

Chapter 191: You Win

Zhang Yang grinned at her and whispered softly by her ear, "Sleep with me tonight."

Qiao Xier clenched her delicate fists and slowly raised them to his face, shaking them slightly. "You dare use that to threaten me?"

"I'm making a huge sacrifice here, okay? Forget it if you don't want to." Forty points—Zhang Yang felt real pain.

"Fine then." Qiao Xier flared up, turned toward Gao Qi and Xu Danlu, and shouted, "Lulu, Sister Qi, your husband said he wants to sleep with me tonight…"

"The hell, what do you mean 'sleep with you'…" Zhang Yang quickly covered her mouth, speechless. "Alright, alright, I'll tell you now—but you asked for it! Don't blame me if I reveal something private."

Zhang Yang cleared his throat, coughed a few times, and got ready to speak.

"Hey… don't…" Qiao Xier's heart suddenly skipped—damn it, her dad wouldn't have told him any of her embarrassing childhood stories, would he? She shot Zhang Yang a fierce glare and said, "You win."

She grabbed his wrist and dragged him toward her room on the third floor. Halfway there, she turned and called out, "Lulu, Sister Qi, borrowing your husband for a bit."

"No problem, take him! Just remember to use protection…" Big Boobs shouted. "But don't overdo it, okay? He already did it with Lulu today…"

Xu Danlu's face instantly darkened, and she hurriedly covered her mouth.

Qiao Xier was speechless. Sister Qi, you're only a few months older—do you have to be this blunt? There are other people in this house, you know. Where's your dignity?

In her room, Zhang Yang flopped onto her bed, hands behind his head, and said lazily, "Ah, I'm exhausted. Finally, I can get some real sleep."

"You jerk, we haven't talked business yet! Don't dirty my bed." Qiao Xier reached to pull him up but was pulled down by him instead, falling into his arms—soft and fragrant.

Inhaling the faint scent of her hair and feeling the soft peaks pressing against him, Zhang Yang grinned and kissed her neck. "What business? Dad already agreed we can be together."

"What do you mean 'Dad'? My dad agreed?" Qiao Xier pulled away, lay on her stomach, propped her chin on her hands, and stared at him.

Suspicious, she asked, "How is that possible? What did you tell him?"

"What did I tell him?" Zhang Yang brushed his lips against her forehead, looked out the window, and smiled. "I told him the rice is already cooked."

"What? I'll kill you!" Qiao Xier grabbed a pillow and smacked him hard. "Talking nonsense again! If Grandpa finds out, he'll skin you alive."

"What could I do? I also said you're already pregnant with my child." Zhang Yang said with mock panic.

"Pregnant with your child… damn you, Zhang Yang, I'll never forgive you!" Qiao Xier realized hitting him with a pillow wasn't enough, clenched her fist—then hesitated. Looking at her own hand, she sighed, unclenched it, and pinched him hard instead.

"You're dead…"

"Wait, you bastard, you're lying." But Qiao Xier quickly caught on. This guy was obviously bluffing. If he'd really told her dad she was pregnant, her dad would've torn him apart, not walked down the stairs arm in arm.

"Spit it out, stop lying. What did you really say to my dad?"

Her hand twisted harder into his weak spot.

"Ouch, you're brutal! Fine, I'll talk…" Zhang Yang took the chance to dive into her arms, his hands immediately taking advantage of her soft curves.

"Hmph, talk…" Maybe Qiao Xier hadn't noticed his sneaky hands yet—or maybe she'd just gotten used to it. Either way, she didn't realize her breasts were being thoroughly groped through her clothes.

"Actually… I didn't say much. Your dad checked out everything about me—decided I'm a five-virtues, four-beauties, three-loves kind of guy: patriotic, family-loving, lady-loving, always helps old ladies cross the road, never pockets found money, gentle to beauties, ruthless to enemies, flowers bloom when I pass, a perfect ten young man… Ah! Don't pinch! I'm being serious!"

Zhang Yang glanced at her. "Your dad really did have me investigated—everything from kindergarten to university. He thinks I'm a trustworthy, handsome young man… Okay fine, I admit, I'm also a genius—skilled in medicine, biology, computing, electronics, aviation, and more. Actually, I'm from Planet Cat… and now you're giving me that suspicious look again. You're making me sad. How about this—give me five minutes, and I'll give you a proper answer."

"Fine…" Qiao Xier thought she shouldn't push him too hard.

Five minutes later…

"You animal! You said five minutes—where's the answer? You… you actually fell asleep on me?!"

Qiao Xier looked at Zhang Yang, now sound asleep. Just how exhausted must he be to fall asleep like this?

Her beautiful face softened as she reached out a slender finger, tracing along his smooth cheek until it stopped at his chin. She bit her lip, leaned down quietly, and kissed him.

"Sleep well, you jerk…"

She turned over, pulled up the blanket, and gently covered him. Just as she was about to kiss him again, he suddenly rolled over and muttered, "Crap, it's seven o'clock—I'm supposed to be at Teacher Yang's class. She'll be mad…"

Qiao Xier jumped, then realized his eyes were still closed.

"Talking in his sleep." Qiao Xier patted her chest, her heart still pounding from the scare.

She knew Zhang Yang had night lessons. Looking at the clock, it was already past eight.

Thinking for a bit, she stood, quietly closed the door, and went upstairs to the fifth floor.

She pressed the video doorbell outside Yang Fei's room. A moment later, Yang Fei opened the door, nodded slightly without a word, and went back to her desk, picking up her unfinished book. A laptop sat before her.

An iPad, a glass of clear water, a box of Delfi chocolates, and a few books were also on the desk.

Qiao Xier glanced over—New Concept English 3, a Spanish textbook, a German course book, even Arabic…

"Sister Feifei, he won't make it tonight." Qiao Xier said naturally as she found a swivel chair and sat down, stealing a side glance at the gorgeous teacher who even made her a little jealous. If she were a man, she'd probably fall for her too.

Of course, she meant Zhang Yang. Both she and Yang Fei knew that.

Yang Fei's hand paused slightly before she nodded. "Mm."

Just one word. After a moment, she set her book down, glanced at Qiao Xier, and asked, "Your father came to see him?"

"Mm." Qiao Xier pursed her lips and nodded.

"So… how did it go?" Yang Fei asked cautiously but couldn't help it.

"Not bad, I guess. He didn't oppose… but he didn't exactly approve either." Qiao Xier hesitated, choosing her words carefully. She didn't even know why she hesitated—wasn't that a normal answer?

"That's good." Yang Fei thought she'd said too much, so she picked her book back up.

"Sister Feifei, were you waiting for him?" Qiao Xier glanced at New Concept English 3 on the desk.

Yang Fei's hand trembled slightly. She turned to look at Qiao Xier and said calmly, "What makes you think that?"

"You're holding the College English Level 4 prep book."

Yang Fei looked down at the book in her hands, a faint blush rising on her face, and quickly lowered it.

Level 4?

For someone who had passed the TEM-8 exam, it was meaningless. A professional-level English teacher reading college-level prep exams—definitely suspicious.

In truth, she was preparing to help Zhang Yang pass his upcoming Level 4 test next spring. Tonight's lesson was supposed to be about that, but he hadn't shown up.

"Sister Feifei, you're such a dedicated teacher." Qiao Xier stood and walked over, explaining for Zhang Yang, "He's probably just exhausted. I saw him asleep at his desk earlier and didn't have the heart to wake him."

After saying that, she blushed. Zhang Yang was clearly asleep in her room, but why didn't she just say that? Maybe she was afraid Yang Fei would misunderstand him. Weird.

Across from her, Yang Fei didn't seem to notice. She lowered her head in thought. Indeed, Zhang Yang had been ridiculously busy lately—poor guy.

After thinking for a while, she looked up and said softly, "Zhang Yang's been alone since childhood—no parents. Since you're with him, please take good care of him."

Qiao Xier blinked, surprised that Yang Fei would say that. Her heart stirred, and she nodded. "I know, Sister Feifei. But it seems like you care about him too."

Yang Fei looked at her, lowered her long lashes, nodded, and sighed. "Counting this time, he's saved my life three times."

Qiao Xier knew vaguely about what had happened between Zhang Yang and Yang Fei, but three times? That was almost miraculous. No wonder this stunning woman was willing to humble herself to teach him English.

As far as she knew, Yang Fei had once had the chance to become a diplomat. Who would've thought she'd give up such a dream job—most likely for Zhang Yang.

"Sister Feifei, you play stocks too?" Qiao Xier's eyes swept across the desk, spotting a stock chart on the laptop. "Can I take a look?"

Yang Fei glanced at the screen and nodded casually. "Just dabble a little."

"Oh, it's Yimao Group." Qiao Xier frowned. "Sister Feifei, that stock's been acting strange—it's hit the limit down three days in a row. Why'd you buy it?"

"I've had it for a while." Yang Fei smoothed the book in her hands, sounding indifferent.

"Oh." Qiao Xier frowned again. "That's weird. Yimao Group's performance isn't bad, and there's no sign of fraud, yet it's been falling nonstop. And you… you hold five million shares? That's a huge loss."

Yang Fei's expression remained calm as she neatly returned the book to the shelf. "As long as I have enough to live, money doesn't matter."

"Five million shares—you're the sixth-largest shareholder in Yimao. I can't help but feel… someone's manipulating it behind the scenes."
