"So..... A world rune huh?" ~ Nunu and Willump, The Boy and The Yeti
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Caalyx felt the wind rush before he could see anything. His wings unfurled as he stopped mid-air.
Those how could fly did the same.
Ibaaros, Joraal, Naga, Varus and Anaakca continued falling downward. Another Darkin fell alongside them, one that was not done fully forming but Caalyx could recognize that big fucker anywhere.
Baalkux, The Heartless, had entered the battle. Or at least, the end of it.
And then Caalyx saw it. A gigantic abyss underneath them countless Voidcreatures climbing out of it. Porous metallic structures glowing purple formed gigantic towers on the edges of the abyss.
Walls of sand and wind pushed any and all Voidlings back into the abyss.
Flashes of blue lit up parts of the abyss followed by angry roars. It seemed like Azir and Nasus had begun their work a little earlier than them.
Xolaani's blood alter crashed into the depths below, tendrils of blood flying upward to try and reach her.
"Is this your plan?!" She roared.
Caalyx let out a loud laugh, "Great isn't it! How dare we fight among ourselves when we did not do our fucking jobs properly. Let us kill ourselves after we end the Void."
"No." Xolaani replied before shooting off into the sky.
"Did I allow you to leave?"
Xolaani froze mid air.
So did every other Darkin who could fly.
Horaazi shouted at him, "I'm on your side fucker!"
"I am not taking any chances."
Every Darkin that could attack him did so. Praa swung her fans sending green magic flying at him. Styraatu strummed her harp holding him in place. Taarosh pointed his halberd at him and it let out a screech.
His shield appeared in front of him growing in size and blocking the attacks.
"Your battle is not up here." Caalyx roared as she swung his hands downward.
And as if the weight of the world itself had fallen onto them, the Darkin raced toward the ground, pulled by the immense strength that Caalyx wielded.
And just like those who could not fly, the rest fell into the endless purple abyss.
Styraatu's hold on his disappeared as he floated alone in the sky. His eyes scanned the surroundings, catching the forms behind the wall of sand. Azir. Nasus. Jan'ahrem. Leona. The Aspect of Twilight. Ryze. And the newcomer behind him. The monkey. Wukong.
A smile cracked underneath his mask.
The world had enough guardians left to watch over it.
His wings folded back in as gravity took hold of him. He began falling headfirst into the abyss, his attention at its very peak taking notes of those who held onto the spiraling Voidstructures refusing to fall.
Aatrox was the first one he saw. He stood on the wall sideways, his sword stabbed into the structure holding him upright. Or sideways. The two made eye contact.
"Nuh uh general!" Caalyx chuckled, "Your army awaits! Lead them!" His hand made a claw grabbing at Aatrox.
Aatrox was ripped off the structure and raised upward. Caalyx swung his hand downward.
BOOOM
A sonic boom echoed outward as Aatrox jetted into the purple glow below.
Caalyx flew downward not spotting any other Darkin sticking to the walls. As he approached the dark swirling portal, he frowned as he caught white branches snaking into the ground. In a reflex he pulled at it.
Baalkux was uprooted as his body flew out from thee ground. His form had become a tree with a gigantic eye in the center. His staff floated in front of him. Three arms gripped at it. Innumerable fingers in each arm. Leaves of blood sprouted of of his branches.
"CAAAAAALYYXXX!" His voice coming out in a slow roar.
"Yeah. Yeah. Missed you too." Caalyx chuckled, "Now get in here."
The two tumbled into the Void. Countless Voidlingsthat had climbed up fell with them. Every single one. He could feel the magic and attacks those above were using. Outside light had completely disappeared at this point as the earth crumbled down onto them.
"Well boys and girls!" Caalyx commanded, "Get fighting."
His eyes looked upward as the portal above them began to close.
"Heh." He smiled, "I suppose this was fun."
The portal closed.

As the Darkin fell, Azir stepped forward, "NOW!" He roared as he pushed forward with his staff.
Gigantic soldiers of sand rose up around the abyss, each holding war-door shields and spears. They moved forward in unison, pushing the Voidlingsback into the abyss.
"SUNFIRE ETERNAL!" Leona raised her sword into the air and a blaze of light descended onto the abyss burning the Voidlings pushing them further in.
Ryze spun his arms around the World Rune and let out a hum. Bolts of magic spread from one creature to the other interconnecting them in a blast of pure magic and blasted them to shreds.
"This is the end." Wukong flew into the sky on his cloud and held his staff out. It extended straight down and then grew wide enough to cover the entire abyss. He pushed it into the abyss, plugging the hole.
"ARGH!!!" He roared as he pushed the staff downward pushing all the Voidlingsinto the portal.
"To death and birth. To ash and mirth. Let those that do not belong.... leave this earth." The childlike Aspect of Twilight recited.
The portal began to close.
Wukong pulled his staff back out. All that remained was a giant hole in the ground.
No purple glow. No Darkin blood magic.
No signs of life.
"Is it over?" He asked aloud.
"I will watch over this place for a while longer." Ryze answered, "To ensure everything has been done properly. You all can leave."
No one moved. Not for days.

The Voidwas just as unrelenting as he remembered. An unending swarm of creatures with the only goal of consuming.
And he hadn't felt this content.
The Darkin had fallen into line pretty quickly. The military hierarchy falling into place almost immediately. All under Caalyx.
Despite how it seemed, they still respected the strong and currently, he was the strongest among them. Gregori's magic doing a lot of the heavy lifting as waves of the Voidwere decimated as per his will.
He ran his spear through legions of the Void.
He watched as spears, blades, arrows and swords were launched at their enemies.
Caalyx knew their plan had succeeded.
Their eternal war had begun.
