The sky was dark at the night, and I made Eve sleep on her bed and once she settled, I started walking away and giving a goodbye to my friend. I came out of the shelter and looked ahead and the woman bowed down, still believing that even if I am abandoned I am still from the nobles and having the royal blood which I never thought like, I also bowed down in front of her greeting and said, "I am really glad that you came to visit me, miss. I hope your journey stays fun and enjoying and thanks for visiting."
The woman smiled with a sweat, I was treating her like she is the royal one and I work at her, and she realized that I am still like the way she knew me, kind, and never discriminated about work or anything, respected everyone and so was I always respected by everyone who worked with me. There was nothing like the person is big or small in front of people, but it was their mind and hearts and the woman smiled, looking at me and said, "You really have a big heart, Ichiro. I am really glad to see you after a very long time...I hope to meet you again."
I stood properly, looked at the woman with a smile and replied, "Yes, and I will also love to meet you again. I hope one day or another we both encounter somewhere once again."
The woman was surprised by the way of speaking and my words. She smiled, realizing that I have developed some good changes as well in the last ten years and she replied, "Sure, I will come here a month later now."
I sighed, "The shelter would be empty by that time, Eve and I would be leaving this place in a month and we will move north east, maybe, but don't worry. If we both would be fated to meet again, then we will meet, don't think about it."
The woman's eyes widened...but at the end, she just smiled and a tear came to her eyes. She never believed that the boy she knew who used to work with her and was like a family member for everyone except his own blood related parents, has grown up so much. She just looked down and nodded her head, "I will pray to meet you and Eve again, but I also hope that the next time we meet, Eve and you will be at a better place. That's all I would say...now I will take my leave."
The woman looked straight at me and I nodded my head, "Hm, you should leave now."
The woman just smiled once again...she had nothing to say now and she turned back and started walking to the horse cart which was a little bit far and the woman walked and disappeared in the forests. I also turned back to the shelter and started walking. I closed the door and turned off the lights.
I came to our bedroom and Eve had fallen asleep. I looked at the table and there was a book, I walked to the table and picked up the book and started flipping the pages, and all the pages were blank...except the last page, where with the blood as ink, there was written something.
This is can be our last chance...everyone is here, I have all the hopes from you...God of Death and Destruction.
I smiled...I really want someone to call me by my title, I really think that I miss those moments when I was someone important for the world. Although I was important in the negative senses, the one who decided each living species' death and the calamities in the universe...but whatever I say, being a God, especially God of Death and Destruction, was somehow interesting and enjoying.
The night passed, and Emi was at the hallways wandering with holding the books on her hands and suddenly Nobela and Yuki arrived and they both took Emi's half of the books each and Emi smiled and her hands were now free and she looked at them with a smile.
But Emi realized that there was someone missing, she sighed looking down and said, "She shouldn't have leave us...everyone is here, even Ichiro is, but still she left...I don't know why."
Yuki looked at a little bit sad Emi and she also sighed, "Why are you coming on it again and again, Emi? She would have a reason and maybe she doesn't wants to be or something. She has the right to make her own decisions, don't be so sad and just move on."
"I know she has the right...but I also want to know why she left. I am curious to find her reason, that's all in my mind." Emi replied and Yuki couldn't say ahead of it, she was kind of tired. She looked at Nobela...and he was also looking curious, looking down and thinking. Yuki sighed once again, she couldn't help about it, at the end she just choose silence and didn't say anything.
"Hey, what are you all talking about?"
Nobela, Emi and Yuki stopped, and Nobela dropped the books but the books started floating and came in Emi's hands. Nobela bowed down greeting, "Greetings my lord. Didn't see you yesterday, did anything happen?"
Emi sighed and Yuki was feeling weird now, it was too much now...as much she knew the person Ichiro, she knows that more than Lord and his companion, Ichiro used to treat Nobela more like his own brother and the same goes with Nobela, but now...Nobela acts more like his companion than his brother, and it was completely weird and strange now.
A guy came in front of Nobela with a smile, his hands in the pockets and said, "You don't need to show me so much respect, Nobela, you are like my brother, you don't need to do the formalities." And Nobela stood and nodded his head and apologized, "I am sorry, I won't repeat it again."
And Emi, Yuki and the guy started sweating, it was more strange now because Nobela always says that but will always repeat and then apology and blah blah. It's boring and more stranger for them but they didn't say anything much and just ignored it again.
Emi looked the guy and with curiosity asked, "You love her, so you should know why she left, Ichiro."
Hmm...similar names like of mine? But looking at him, Ichiro had a decent smile...and...my face and his face are completely different, I would just ask from them, who is he? There's no way I would look like him, there's a huge difference in our faces, maybe he would be someone whose name is just same, who knows.
Another day arrived and I was walking with the basket full of the woods and Eve was sitting on my shoulders and looking around. Eve looked at me and asked, "Big brother...will we live in the mountains, near mountains or the places ahead of the mountains?"
I thought, "Let's think...although this is not our main plan for because we have three weeks to leave, but I will say...we will be ahead of the mountains. But why did you ask?"
Eve smiled brightly, "I just wanted to know that...because I wanted to walk to a peak of the mountain, and pass them. You said about adventure...so it will be fun walking and passing through the mountains and the mountain ranges. Just excited for it."
I looked at Eve with a smile, she is already excited about it...and I looked in front and finally the village's view came in my eyes and we both continued moving ahead and entered in the village and the people smiled, waiting for us and I moved ahead.
Ichiro, Nobela, Yuki and Emi were sitting on a bench, discussing and Ichiro looked at Emi and answered, "I really don't know why she left...when she saw me, she said nothing, she didn't even come and she just left the hall. I have no clue what it would be, what made her left...I have no idea."
Yuki laughed, looking at Ichiro and said, "You couldn't even recognize her at first sight, we had tell you that she is the one, now it makes sense why she would have left."
Emi also agreed with it, "Yes, maybe...I am really surprised, but more I was disappointed that you couldn't recognize her? Have you lost the love you had for her? Have you no interest in her anymore, for the one you gave your everything?"
Ichiro looked up, and started thinking, "...Who knows...I don't know...I have no idea...maybe...I have forgotten love?"
Two weeks had passed and the snow had started falling and Eve had started wearing sweater, the winter season was finally there but still we continued our job. I chop the woods and Eve would sell them and I would just work at the transporting part. There was just two weeks left when we will leave and Eve was the most curious person for it. She was excited for the adventure and we both stopped planning because the adventure would be more adventurous when we just have a goal and not much plans of how and what if. They knew that the day will come one day, they all will leave and finally start our adventure and that was only in our thoughts.
Emi and Yuki were left stunned by listening what Ichiro said, they both looked at Ichiro and Ichiro was lost somewhere, watching up on the ceilings but they thought that maybe there would be a negative thought is his mind or something and he would be disappointed from himself if she left because of his mistake of not recognizing her, Emi just sighed and said, "Ok, let's now move on from all that, don't think much now."
And the last day also arrived, a whole month had passed and it was finally the last day. But today, I wasn't chopping the woods, I was trying to clean the snow while Eve was just sitting on half truck of a dead tree and watching me. I cleaned everything of the shelter outside and the ground was still green, the grasses hadn't died yet. I took some of the tree plants I got while selling and Eve looked at it and she finally realized why I purchased the little plants.
"You are going to grow trees here, big brother?" Eve asked with surprises and I looked at her with a bright smile and nodded my head and answered, "Yes, this place will be full of trees after decades, this area is just in the mid of the forest, so it will also become a part of the forests."
Eve was surprised but she just smiled, and I started planting the plants and there were almost 50 which I had and I grew it each at a distance and once everything was done, I finally started moving to Eve and said, "Let's now go and take some rest, Eve. From tomorrow we won't get time to take rest, at least not as much which is sufficient. So take some rest and let's leave tomorrow at morning."
Eve raised her both arms again and I picked her up and started leaving. She jumped on her bed and I left her and started cleaning the wooden the shelter for the very last time.
The morning turned into night and Eve and I had our dinner together with a laughter and smiles on our faces and the lantern glow all the night.
And from the next day...a new chapter will begin, maybe I will try to bring the end or find a better place to stay and live forever, I don't know...but what I know, is that I am finally going to move on from everything now.
