Six months earlier. The technomancer group is fighting a giant four armed scorpion monster on a desert island in the Kaiju Archipelago.
Elise-"Evolved skill: solar flash fist!"
Elise launches forward with her hand covered in plasma to punch the giant scorpion. She bounces off of its body leaving a crack in the armor.
Elise-"This thing's scales are pretty tough!"
Adam-"It's a scorpion, it doesn't have scales"
Elise-"Oh really? Does it really not have scales? How fascinating, you must be proud for knowing that-"
The scorpion swings one of its arms to slam into Elise while she's still in the air. She gets launched into a nearby rock pillar.
Adam-"Bet you wished you knew that was gonna happen too right?"
Elise crawls out of the small hole in the rock pillar that she made.
Elise-"Real funny"
The rest of the group is standing by watching.
Marigold-"Are you sure that they can handle this?"
Joe-"They said they wanted to fight the next monster by themselves"
Damion-"That doesn't mean they can handle it, it just means they think they can"
Julius-"They'll be fine. The only concerning things about this scorpion monster are it's durable carapace and it's poison stinger. But I can neutralize any poison from it"
Joe-"I feel like I should get some shots in, I can tell that I'm close to getting an evolved skill and helping to kill this thing could get me there"
Marigold-"That should about do it, it might take a couple more monsters but you're almost to the point where I can evolve your skill"
Damion-"A shame that you can't evolve my skill"
Joe(in his head)-"Well, he got a big power up after absorbing that plant monster. Although it was his brother's soul, I wouldn't be caught dead saying that out loud"
Adam-"Evolved skill: lunar-"
Before Adam can unleash his slash attack a beam of light soars through the air and pierces through the scorpion monster's head.
Julius-"What was that?"
Prince Magnus floats down from the air.
Prince Magnus-"That's another one down. hmm?"
Adam-"This guy!?"
Adam and Elise get into battle positions. The rest of the group runs up and joins them.
Prince Magnus stares at them for a moment.
Prince Magnus-"...do I know you from somewhere"
Joe-"Very funny"
Prince Magnus-"...no seriously I feel like I recognize you"
Damion-"...Do you not recognize me?"
Prince Magnus-"I just said that I 'feel' like I do. Were you not listening?"
Julius-"Magnus!"
Julius flies up to Prince Magnus.
Prince Magnus-"Julius!? Well long time no see"
Joe-"Well he recognized Julius no problem"
Julius-"So you recognize me? But not Damion who you kept locked in that dungeon"
Prince Magnus-"Oh, so he's that creature. Well it's easy to recognize you, not very many glowing blue dots around"
Julius-"What are you doing here?"
Prince Magnus-"Ever since our humiliating fight, I've decided that I needed to get stronger so I came here. While I know it was Atlas who defeated me and not you, the fact that you forced me to use my evolved skill is unacceptable"
The feline beastfolk Theodore teleports behind Prince Magnus.
Theodore-"My lord"
The barrier knight Abigail comes running after them.
Abigail-"They're the group who attacked us"
Adam-"You're the ones who attacked us, not the other way around"
Abigail-"You were freeing a prisoner from our custody"
Prince Magnus-"Enough!"
Prince Magnus's mana floods the area.
Julius(in his head)-"He's stronger than before, he must have killed a bunch of monsters"
Prince Magnus-"I'm assuming you've had the same idea of killing a bunch of these stupid beasts to get stronger. Well then, should we test out our new powers Julius?"
Julius-"Everyone else stay out of this, I'll handle him"
Prince Magnus-"You'll handle me huh? You never got a chance to see what my evolved skill was capable of last time"
Julius-"Well I've got my own evolved skill now, so I'll be able to end this quickly"
Julius and Prince Magnus fly towards eachother at light speed resulting in a big flash.
Back to the present.
Marigold-"Well I think that's the last time we saw him.
Elise-"Yeah, I wonder why he showed up here"
Marigold-"I don't think he was the one responsible for kidnapping us, considering the fact that he killed the kidnapper"
Elise-"So... should we bring him back to our group?"
Marigold-"Yeah, we can't just leave him out here. We should grab the other kidnapper too. The hotel receptionist"
Elise-"Yeah, I'll carry Magnus and you carry her"
Marigold-"You forget their both a hundred times our size right now"
Elise-"No, I didn't forget. I can lift boulders more than a hundred times my size. So they should be light work"
Marigold-"Then would you-"
Elise-"Nah I'm not carrying both, you don't get off that easily"
Marigold sighs as her and Elise walk over to the unconscious kidnapper and Magnus.
Marigold-"What about the dead kidnapper?"
Elise-"I don't want someone to see us dragging a corpse through the forest. Just leave them for now"
Elise grabs a hold of Magnus's arm which is the same size as her shrunken body.
Marigold-"Water skill: carrier wave"
Marigold creates a disk of water underneath the receptionist lady who was their other kidnapper. She hovers the disk in the air lifting the receptionist a foot off of the ground.
Elise-"Alright, let's go"
Marigold-"Do you even know which way we came from?"
Elise-"I see foot prints coming from that way. So that should be where we came from"
Marigold-"I hope so"
Elise begins dragging Magnus's unconscious body behind herself.
Elise-"I'm more worried about whoever did this to Magnus. It's been half a year since we've last seen Prince Magnus. I'm sure he's gotten even stronger and yet something's beaten him to an inch of his life"
Marigold-"You're right, I doubt both of us combined would stand a chance against whatever did this to him"
Elise-"We need to get back to the team asap"
