Just as Raven walked out of the security office, Vince, Sage's best friend, stepped in front of him, a smile stretching his handsome face.
"Wow, Raven, you're back. How are you feeling?"
Raven raised an eyebrow at the alpha, who never once talked to him.
"Fine."
He drew out his answer, sidestepping him.
"So, hey, since you and Sage are friends, why don't you come hang out with me?"
"Sorry, can't, I have classes."
"Oh yeah, of course, of course. How about after? Only if you're not busy."
Raven wondered what Vince was up to for him to be so friendly all of a sudden. He racked his brain about any misdeeds Vince had committed, but came up empty.
Maybe he just wanted to feel out Raven if he was bad news for his best friend.
"Umm, sure, why not?"
"Really? Awesome. What time should we meet?"
"My last class is at 12:30, so after that, unless you have classes."
"No, I only have morning classes today, so this will work out perfectly. See you then."
He shot Raven a happy smile, waving as he left.
Such an odd man. Raven thought as he turned, making his way to the administration offices.
The minute he entered his counselor's room, he handed in his transfer slip.
The other man was taken aback, looking over the paperwork. Asking several times if Raven was sure and received the same affirmative answer.
"Very well. I'll send everything over by the end of the week."
"Umm, no."
Raven gave the man a cold smile.
"You will send everything over right now. I'm not about to be bullied by this administration to stay a single day. So get to it."
He crossed his arms, sitting himself at the desk.
His counselor visibly bristled but did as he was asked. When everything was done, Rave stood up satisfied and headed to his dormitory.
Once inside, he noticed his roommate's side of the room was empty, just like his would be in a couple of hours.
Once finished packing, Raven observed the bear room with happy satisfaction. Finally, he would say goodbye to this awful place.
He picked up the two duffel bags filled with clothes and one big box filled with books, and made his way to the elevator.
The dormitory was eerily quiet and empty, but Raven paid it no mind.
Coincidentally or not, Raven ran into Vince at the front door, who just happened to be passing by.
"Hey!"
He called out, rushing over and grabbing the box out of Raven's hands.
"I thought you said you had class. What are you doing with all this?"
"Well, I did, but since I'm transferring out, I didn't have to go. And these are my things."
" Transferring out? But why!?"
Raven laughed.
"I found an online school that better suits my plans. So, there's no reason for me to be stuck at this place."
Vince looked crestfallen.
"But I just got up the courage to talk to you, and now you're leaving."
Raven's brows shot up again in surprise.
"Really? You're interested in ME?"
Raven looked at him incredulously; this was the first time he was hearing of this.
"Well, yeah, you're beautiful, and Sage said a lot of good things about you, so I thought I'd see how it goes."
"Wow, that's so unexpected."
Raven gave a shy smile.
"Umm, thanks."
His blush deepened.
Vince cleared his throat as he fidgeted with the box of books.
"So where do you want me to take these?"
"Oh, that's right, give me a second."
Raven called Sage's apartment. In a few short moments, the housekeeper picked up, and Raven requested a driver, which she readily affirmed and would be picking him up shortly.
She was a smart woman; she didn't even bat an eye at the fact that Raven drove himself to school this morning.
"My ride is on its way, so if you could just bring it to the front gate, I would appreciate it.
"Sure, no problem."
Vince flashed Raven a beaming smile, which Raven returned. Vince led the way, and Raven's smile vanished; his eyes became cold and calculating as he observed the man before him.
Vince stayed with him, making small talk. He asked all about Raven's likes and dislikes, making mental notes of which places would be good to take him out to.
When the car pulled up, Vince didn't show his surprise at Sage's chauffeur parking in front of Raven, or when he greeted him as Young master. Not even when his things were placed in the trunk of the car.
When it was time to leave, he finally spoke up.
"How about I skip class and we go now? Let's make a date of it."
Raven gave Vince a shy smile, uncertainty in his big blue eyes.
"Are you sure?"
He nibbled at his bottom lip.
Vince gave a reassuring nod.
"Okay then."
He looked at the driver.
"Could you please bring my things to the apartment?"
"Of course, young master."
The man nodded, taking his leave immediately. Raven spent the late morning and most of the afternoon with Vince. They went shopping and ate at several coffee shops to try out different cakes.
Vince was a gentleman throughout the whole day. When lunch came around, they went to the restaurant Vince had raved about.
Raven had thoroughly enjoyed himself. Only after his lunch did he become unusually sleepy.
Vince ushered him into his car, promising to take him home, fell from his lips.
Raven's lashes flickered open. He felt sluggish, like when he would take sleeping pills to help him sleep.
Later, when he regained consciousness, he felt the coolness of evening upon his skin. He forced his eyes open as he listened, trying to understand his new surroundings. What greeted him wasn't at all a surprise.
Ah typical.
Was all he thought as Vince untangled himself from Daisy's arms.
Daisy was, in fact, Sage's long-time girlfriend.
"Oh, look who's awake."
She purred, her hand gently resting on Vince's chest. Vince had an evil smirk on his face.
"So, should I start now? Babe?" He asked, turning towards Raven while his arms encircled Daisy's well-defined hips.
She giggled, clapping her hands excitedly.
"Oh, this will be so much fun."
"Ugh, what happened?"
Raven said, shaking his head to clear it.
"I slipped sleeping pills into your hot chocolate at the restaurant we visited."
Vince gloated while swaying with Daisy in his arms.
"Well, that explains why it tasted so weird."
Raven rubbed at his pounding head.
"You should have picked a different brand; this one is giving me a pounding headache."
Raven complained.
Vince threw his head back, bursting out in laughter. He slipped from behind Daisy, approaching Raven like a tiger its prey.
He leaned over the disoriented omega menacingly.
Raven's small mouth curved up slightly; he made his move. In an instant, Vince found himself cuffed to the pipe, tightly secured by the concrete floor and ceiling.
He looked dazedly at his wrist, then back at Raven. How had Raven done it? Was he out of it? Raven began to laugh as he stumbled a bit unsteadily on his legs.
Slowly, he made his way over to Daisy, who stepped back a bit, startled when Raven almost knocked into her.
"Whoa!"
Raven called out as he almost fell.
"What else did you put in that drink?"
He felt his body heat, his head starting to pull in a familiar way.
"Ah..."
Raven's eyes sharpened as they focused on Daisy, who flinched when their eyes met.
"You two are even more unspeakable than I gave you credit for.
He shook his shoulders, taking a few deep breaths; he stabilized his body. When he opened his eyes, they became icy cold, not a trace of his previous addled self.
"Now then."
With a quick jerk, he grabbed Daisy with one hand while the other hit her on the side of her neck, knocking her out.
He searched her pocket, retrieving the second pair of handcuffs she brought. He made his way over to a struggling Vince.
"Calm down, the fun is just about to begin. You wouldn't want to miss it now, would you?"
With that, he reached for Vince's free arm. Raven dodged just in the nick of time as a fierce fist came a breath's away from punching him in the face.
Raven couldn't keep the chuckle from escaping his lips.
That was close, he thought before changing his strategy. He held out the strap of his bag, and when Vince struck again, so did Raven.
With quick reflexive movement, he snared the stretched-out arm and cuffed it to the pole.
He rummaged through his bag, pulling out a roll of gauze. After thoroughly wrappingVince's wrists up so the cuffs wouldn't chafe, he moved on to prepare the rest of the space.
Luckily, the place had everything he needed. A big plastic tarp lay on the ground, a long table set atop it, also covered with plastic.
Atop that lay Daisy.
Raven waited patiently for her to come to. By the time she did, Vince had exhausted himself.
"Ah, sleeping beauty is finally awake."
Raven hummed, looking at the panicked Daisy, her eyes darting around in confusion.
"Hello there."
Raven purred as he leaned over her head, an evil glint in his eyes.
"We meet again."
As their eyes met, a shiver ran down her spine. Her eyes nearly bulged out of their socket from shock as she looked up at him.
