Ge Dejun and Xu Linjiang couldn't help but laugh out loud.
Jiang Xiao hugged them lightly and stepped back, sizing them up and feeling genuinely happy.
They looked visibly energetic, which meant that they must have been doing well lately.
Before, they had lived poorly and appeared very gaunt. Now, with a bit more weight and a bit fairer skin, it looked like they were healthier and fuller.
Of course, compared to before, they were chubbier, but in reality, their current physique couldn't be considered as overweight.
"We've had good meals recently. Your aunt has been generous with oil in her cooking, and those vegetables are all stir-fried to an oily sheen, making them very tasty." Ge Dejun laughed heartily.
Whenever he saw Jiang Xiao, his mood inexplicably improved.
"Complaining that your uncle's gotten fat? When I go back, I'll do more runs around Bai Gu Mountain; maybe I've been slacking a bit lately."
