The An Family didn't refuse further and stayed. The rooms were quickly arranged, and the Gu and An Families bid each other goodnight and returned to their rooms.
Only An Yiqing and Gu Yelin remained in the hall, along with the Gu Family servants who were cleaning up the scene. An Yiqing sighed wearily, lazily leaning against Gu Yelin.
"Tired?" Gu Yelin asked softly.
"Mm, banquets are the most exhausting."
Gu Yelin chuckled softly, pulling An Yiqing into an embrace, and whispered in her ear in a deep, ambiguous tone, "Do you want me to carry you upstairs?"
The warm breath brushed past her earlobe, making her face flush hot. An Yiqing glanced nervously at the servants cleaning up, then turned to glare at Gu Yelin before stepping away.
Unexpectedly, An Zhifeng suddenly burst in through the door.
"Miss, something's happened! Just now, Zhiyun found footprints on the wall while patrolling!"
