An hour later, Yun Chu followed Tan Ze to a place he found interesting.
Yun Chu never imagined it would be such a place.
Also on the city outskirts, but not that farm mentioned earlier, rather a dried-up small river.
The riverbed was completely exposed, with just a bit of water in the low spots. Both banks were overgrown with weeds and a lot of household garbage. Mostly plastic bags and meal boxes, left for such a long time that there was no stench.
The taxi driver looked at Yun Chu and Tan Ze like they were lunatics, and after they got out of the car, he secretly took a photo of them, thinking that if something were to happen, he'd have evidence. Having done this, the driver slammed on the accelerator, and the car sped away.
Yun Chu couldn't be bothered with the driver's thoughts; she had already followed Tan Ze down to the riverbed.
Sure enough, there were many stones here, big and small, in all sorts of shapes.
