After breakfast, Lady Zhang started arranging to send a carriage to the town to pick up Lian Zhizhi.
"They have their own carriage at home," Lian Shouxin casually remarked to Lady Zhang, "it's still early, they'll be here by themselves later on."
Lian Shouxin meant that sending a carriage now might make the Wu family feel like they were rushing Lian Zhizhi to come over.
"I understand your point," Lady Zhang thought for a moment, then disagreed, "but what's wrong with me wanting our daughter, son-in-law, and grandchild to come over earlier? Zhizhi's in-laws aren't the type to be overly sensitive. Whether they drive themselves or we send a carriage to fetch them, it's all the same."
