A speeding car was about to hit her in the blink of an eye, when a pair of strong hands suddenly yanked her aside. She crashed into someone's arms, and was held as they staggered back a few steps, all while the screech of brakes echoed in her ears.
The car was moving too fast for the driver to stop, crashing straight into the wall ahead, leaving a gaping hole.
She opened her eyes, only to see the driver pinned inside the cabin, the windows splattered with blood, his fate unknown.
Her heart was pounding intensely; if no one had pulled her away moments ago, she might be dead by now. She looked up, ready to thank her savior, only to see Jiang Yang's handsome, pale face drenched in cold sweat.
Her expression was anxious, "Jiang Yang, are you okay?"
Jiang Yang released her, pressing on what seemed to be a dislocated shoulder, and, suppressing the pain, said, "I'm okay, but why were you standing dazed in the middle of the road? Don't you know that's dangerous?"
