She looked at him, tears sliding down the corner of her eyes, dripping onto the table.
She reached out and wiped them forcefully.
Choking.
"Then why didn't you show up in front of me? Why did you make me think you were dead? Do you know how sad I was?"
He looked at her, said nothing, just silently pulled her into his arms.
Held her tightly.
Throughout this year, the thing he thought about most was holding her.
Unfortunately, he couldn't do it.
