A few minutes had gone by, and Lu Cheng was frustrated at the lack of response.
"Are we going to remain here?" Lu Cheng's companion, Linda, asked. She glanced around and heard no noise.
"Hmph, let's scavenge the houses!" Lu Cheng snorted and pointed at the nearby houses. "If they've been ransacked, then that means they were here or maybe still hiding."
His expression quickly turned nefarious. "If they are still here and hiding like a little rat, I'll gladly give them a good blast."
"What if they're camping at corners and waiting for us to enter into the trap?" Linda was worried about this aspect. They were in an open field at the moment, so they could be safe and sound even if attacked suddenly.
But the houses were all enclosed and barely any space to dodge.
Upon hearing that, Lu Cheng was infuriated. He raised his hand and slapped her across the face.
SLAP!
Linda plopped to the ground, her cheeks bruised, and some of her health had dropped.
