Jun Ye's words were quite meaningful. Presumably, Uncle Zheng had changed his approach to send Aunt Zheng to them. On one hand, it seemed he wanted to shift the burden onto their Bai Family and Jun Ye. On the other hand, if Aunt Zheng herself didn't agree, of course, they wouldn't know how Uncle Zheng persuaded the old lady, but perhaps Uncle Zheng didn't even need to persuade her. As soon as Aunt Zheng heard she could stay with the Bai Family and Jun Ye, she was so delighted that she immediately agreed to transfer from Baoding to Beijing.
Evidently, the latter possibility is very high. From the information disclosed by Zheng Yuanjie, this old lady had plenty of her own thoughts but no outlet for them. If anyone had to choose, which is better: Beijing or Baoding? Isn't that obvious? Surely, Beijing is better than Baoding. Any smart, selfish, slightly ambitious, and aspiring old person would think of staying in Beijing for the rest of their life.
