Millions of Gods were frozen in shock. The Divine Aura from the five Supreme Gods—Malakar, Skarion, Micteya, Elunara, and Celestia—pressed down on them like a mountain.
"This is the first time we've seen this many main gods together since the Ancient War, a hundred thousand years ago!"
"Even back in the day, five Supreme Gods gathering at the same place was extremely rare."
"Do you think a full-on battle between these Supreme Gods would break out?"
"I don't think so. Had it only been Her Holiness against the three evil Supreme Gods, they would have probably teamed up to stop her, but with Her Holiness, the Angel added into the equation, the Evil Gods don't hold any advantage."
Micteya also knew this, and her expressions contorted with frustration. Her entire Death Pantheon had lost face today, all because of her brother's recklessness. This day, which was supposed to be her 'special day' when her ascension would become public, would now be marked the darkest point of her existence.
Celestia would now become a psychological shadow in her mind. Unless Micteya defeats her soon, she might even start having PTSD flashbacks whenever they meet, just like Skarion did with Elunara.
…
"Elunara…" Skarion gritted his teeth, controlling his anger, "You really want to stand against the Evil Pantheon for a mere Castle Lord?"
Elunara didn't blink. "Of course, how could Evil Gods compare to the Angels."
'Damn you!' Malakar leaned back on his throne, "This Great Aetherium killed thousands from our Pantheon. Not to mention that, they even assassinated almost ten high-level High Gods recently."
Although the Space-Time on those battlefields had been sealed, and they couldn't find any clues about the assassins, it was clear now that this Eighteen-Winged Angel was the one who hunted the Evil High Gods. For this, they had to demand an explanation because if Celestia kept at it, their Pantheon's future was looking bleak.
Elunara laughed lightly, "What, you expect the Great Aetherium to hand over their Angels' heads as compensation?"
Malakar said nothing. He knew no one would make such a foolish bargain.
Elunara pointed towards Celestia and asked sarcastically, "Or do you perhaps expect her to apologize to you?"
Malakar was still silent. Making Celestia, a Supreme Goddess, apologize for 'merely' killing a few High Gods was naturally impossible.
Malakar said firmly, "Just pay us for the Evil Pantheon's losses."
Elunara smiled, "Fine, the Nature Pantheon would cover your losses after the Divine War ends."
Malakar frowned, "Who knows when that war would even begin, let alone its end."
Elunara shrugged, "Whatever. Our Pantheon is really broke now, so hold that debt for now."
Malakar and Skarion both glared suspiciously at Elunara, thinking she was playing them. No God with two brain cells would actually believe that she would pay this 'debt'. With the Demon Emperor himself leading the war, even Supreme Gods' safety wasn't guaranteed in this war.
Skarion snorted coldly, "Then return all Artifacts, Godheads & Souls taken from the Evil High Gods, and we would call it over."
Malakar nodded grimly. Obviously, they didn't want a full-scale war with the Nature Pantheon.
Elunara's eyes turned to Celestia, and she asked respectfully, "What do you say, Your Holiness?"
The two Evil Lords were stunned. Elunara had called Celestia 'Your Holiness'. A Goddess of her caliber addressing another 'weaker' Goddess so respectfully was a big deal. Their eyes lingered on Celestia, mixed with curiosity and suspicion.
Celestia's calm voice cut through the tension, "Everything here belongs to my Lord. If you dare to covet it, then I'll fight you to death."
Back when Celestia ruled the illusory Angel Realm, she had personally executed an uncountable number of late-stage Supreme Gods like Malakar and Skarion. Though currently weaker than her peak, she was strong enough to not have to back down against them.
Skarion snapped, "Elunara, we are willing to back down for your sake, but the Great Aetherium is really too arrogant."
Elunara gave a dismissive glance, "You heard Her Holiness, either accept my offer or take your Gods and leave. This case is closed."
Anger flashed in Skarion's eyes, "Where's your so-called justice now?"
"My justice isn't reserved for scum like you." Elunara said coldly. "Besides, have you not heard about Malakar's recent actions, almost slaughtering dozens of my Goddesses. Do I need to mention that?"
Malakar immediately retorted, "What happened wasn't intentional. It was a mere mistake on my part."
Elunara smirked. "Keep telling yourself that."
Skarion growled, "For your sake, Elunara, we will step back. Just hand over Maddox's soul, and we will consider this matter over."
Micteya's eyes softened with gratitude. She knew that this was Skarion's tactic to win her allegiance and empower the Evil Pantheon, but her brother still mattered to her.
Elunara turned back to Celestia. They exchanged silent words before Celestia said, "This is a matter between the Great Aetherium and Death Pantheon. If Micteya wants Maddox's soul, she must visit us and take it herself."
Malakar and Skarion's expressions darkened. They repeatedly conceded ground to avoid war with Elunara, but the Great Aetherium showed absolutely no respect towards them.
Micteya spat, "You cut off the vitality of my brother's Divine Body, now only his soul remains. Isn't that enough punishment for his actions? What more do you want?"
Celestia said calmly, "Visit the Lord's kingdom In seven days, and you may reclaim him, if he consents."
Micteya's glare matched fire. "What will you do to him?"
"My Lord is merciful and will give him a new life." Celestia said softly.
Micteya didn't understand what she meant yet feared the worst.
"If you harm him, then even if I have to sacrifice myself, I'll destroy your kingdom!"
"You still dare to threaten my Lord's kingdom?"
Celestia's sword ignited golden flames as she attacked Micteya, but suddenly three Supreme God Tier Laws, belonging to Malakar, Skarion and Elunara, pulled her back to safety. Nobody wanted another war between Supreme Goddesses to break out.
Malakar soothed Micteya, "Relax Micteya, at most they would torture him for some time. This is already a negligible punishment for a High God insulting such a strong Supreme Goddess."
"Seven days it is then, but if you go back on your word, we will not hold back at all."
Skarion nodded. At most, they would pay some price to bargain with a Supreme God of the Titan Pantheon for their support in that battle. At that time, they would definitely win.
Micteya gritted her teeth. She also understood that if the war continued, she would be the first to die here. Even though Maddox's desperate calls echoed through the stars, her expressions hardened and she feigned deafness.
Then Malakar's voice cut through to Celestia, "Another thing, next time you assassinate the Evil Pantheon's Gods, we will gather in millions, and you certainly won't like the outcome."
Celestia's expressions didn't flicker, "Provoke us and the hunting resumes."
"Remember that." After Malakar, Skarion and Micteya vanished, the Evil Gods also retreated, and the spectators dispersed.
