Chapter 908 - CH890 Comparison???

Haru offered his congratulations to Elunara on her ascension to becoming a Peak Supreme Goddess, a genuine advance in their faction's position going into the Divine War. She waved it off with characteristic directness: compared to him, she was still clearly inferior.

The comparison she had run was honest. She was among the first batch of Ancient Gods of Faith on the Endless Continent, as famous and ancient as Svetlana, Varkath, and Drakenvader. Millions of years of cultivation. And yet at the peak of the Supreme God Tier, combat experience barely registered if one party's comprehension of their Law was far stronger.

Not only did Haru hold the legendary Space-Time Law, he had also mastered nearly two hundred Laws to her single source, and carried two top-level Supreme God Tier Natal Artifacts to her one. On every axis that mattered at their level, he surpassed her.

She didn't know his actual law source count was 1,445. If she had, she would have understood the gap was not "clearly inferior" but something far more absolute. Haru at his current strength sat between the peak of the Supreme God Tier and infinitely close to the Pseudo God Monarch Tier, effectively at a level that didn't have a name.

He could face the top three Demon Monarchs simultaneously and suppress all of them. The remaining nine would fare no better. This was what 1,445 different Laws produced.

"We shouldn't compare ourselves." Haru said, "Our actual opponent is Aschenkranz."

The name landed the way it always did. Elunara's expression went serious immediately.

"His arrival will be a catastrophe." She said, "I can already predict that countless creatures, and Gods, will fall."

"What comes will come." Haru said, "Excessive worry only erodes your own confidence. In the Ancient Era, the demons were the ones who lost. In this era, with the three factions together, the Castle Faction, Faith and Truth, will be able to defeat them again. Evil cannot overcome righteousness. The demons are known as the most evil race in the universe. They can't beat those of us chasing holiness and light."

Elunara looked at him for a moment, then smiled, "Your Majesty is remarkably confident."

"I have reasons to be."

She had been promoted to the peak. Her strength was far beyond where she had stood in the Ancient Era. She shared his confidence, even if she expressed it more quietly.

"The Shrine will fall to the Endless Continent soon." She said, "By the way, the battlefield for the Divine War exists in separate dimensional space. When the Shrine opens its doors, the Divine War begins in earnest. If Your Majesty is willing, we could enter together. The dangers inside are real, but so are the opportunities. Our enemies there aren't only the Shrine's internal hazards, the Demon Emperor and the Demon Monarchs will also be present. Cooperation would benefit both of us."

"If the opportunity presents itself." Haru said, "I'm open to it."

He didn't commit more precisely than that. Too many uncertainties existed between now and then. Once the Divine War broke out inside the Shrine, predicting anything was impossible.

"Then I'll leave it at that." Elunara said, "Does Your Majesty have Divine Tokens for entering the Shrine? After it opens, only those holding one can be received by the Shrine and enter. If you're short, I can provide some."

"I have many." Haru said, "Several thousand in fact."

The first one had come when he killed the Beast God Urznar. Since then, the Great Aetherium's suppression of nearly 1.5 million Evil Gods of Faith had added substantially to the count, most of those Gods had participated in Ancient Era's Divine War, and they specifically carried Divine Tokens. That was where the bulk came from.

Which meant thousands of Great Aetherium's Gods were theoretically qualified to enter the Shrine. Haru wasn't going to send thousands in, the dangers there were real, and the more who entered, the more who would die. He would only bring a select group of powerful Imperial Gods and no more.

Elunara nodded, satisfied. They spoke a while longer, and then she moved to leave, eager to find Amelie and catch up on a hundred thousand years of missed time.

She was almost at the door when she stopped as her divine senses caught something in the capital.
