Clover Kingdom Social/Nobility Ladder.
1. Royalty.
The highest bloodlines in the kingdom. These are the families closest to the throne and highest magical prestige.
Examples would be houses like royal-level families.
2. Great Noble Houses / High Nobles.
Powerful noble families with large territories, old bloodlines, strong magic, money, political influence, and Magic Knight connections.
These are the families people actually respect.
3. Middle Nobles.
Still legitimate nobles, but not at the very top. They have decent land, servants, money, and some political weight.
4. Minor Nobles
Small noble houses with weak influence. They may own land, but not enough to be powerful.
5. Lay Nobles
This is what House Swallow is.
They are technically noble, but barely. They have noble blood and land, but almost no money, prestige, soldiers, business power, or political respect.
So House Swallow is basically:
Lay noble house = lowest class of nobility.
That's why David's family can still call themselves nobles while living like broke commoners in a rundown estate.
Below Nobility.
6. Commoners.
Normal citizens with no noble title.
7. Peasants / Laborers.
Poorer working-class people, farmers, miners, servants, etc.
8. Slums / Outlaws / Underground People
The lowest social layer. Criminals, beggars, smugglers, runaway people, abandoned children, and people outside normal kingdom protection.
