Feng Liangbi was quickly informed by the people at the inn that Fu Hanwen had taken Xiao Ruo shopping.
"Haha~~" When Feng Xian arrived at the inn, he heard the staff reporting to Feng Liangbi and entered without concealing his schadenfreude: "Your Majesty, you've pined for her, traveled all the way from the capital to see her, and yet she stands you up. Is it worth it?"
Feng Liangbi pondered, "It's not worth it. I'll surely repent to the Empress when I return to the palace."
"Your Majesty, you..." Feng Xian gritted his teeth in anger and fell silent.
It turns out that Feng Xian can barely be considered a member of the Feng Clan within Feng Zhao Country's Imperial Family, though he's many generations removed from the center of power.
Feng Liangbi was not favored by his father as a child and was once raised by Feng Xian's parents for two years. During those two brief years, many events occurred, forging a bond between Feng Liangbi and Feng Xian that's closer than brothers.
