Third person POV
The next day, Shu guided Gen to his lab because he wanted to show him something. Gen was confused by what he was doing, but he was willing to see what Shu wanted to show him. In his lab, Shu showed a flask of seemingly clear liquid. "This is what I call the Template Serum."
"What is that?" Gen was utterly confused.
Putting the flask down, Shu replied, "It is a special serum where you can replicate any liquid like serums into a uniform copy of it."
Gen was surprised. "Woah, how did you manage to make that?"
"Well…I tinkered a lot in this lab and made that and…."
"Do you think it could replicate the cure I'll be soon to discover?"
"Yes, any liquid you could think of…"
Gen brightened up at Shu. "You're a genius! That'll be a good help to our solution to the zombie outbreak!"
"Yeah…" Shu was moderately overwhelmed, "…just something to do to help out…you know…"
His red and black spiral-bound notebook was under the table.
Meanwhile, in the underground laboratory, Nato and Hayate was feeding the caged zombies, including Hoka, food in the form of fried steaks, some nattō, fish, and vegetables. They and the other rotating soldiers do this 3 times a day.
Nato shared his latest story about Shu surviving the insane and impossible of being shot by a zombie sniper.
He remarked, "As if his body refused to die…"
