Chapter 8 - The Night God Had a Dream

With Xufeng's blessing, Luo Yu fell asleep for the first time after coming to the world of Ashes of Love, and he even had a dream.

In the dream, he was still a little boy carrying a schoolbag. On the way home from school, he remembered his mom's instructions. He jumped and walked to a stall owner in white. Little Luo Yu waved his hand cutely and said, "Uncle, I want to buy a calendar."

The stall owner turned to face him, and Luo Yu marveled at his good looks. The good-looking stall owner didn't say anything. Instead, he rummaged through a pile of notebooks on the stall before taking out a yellow and antique-looking calendar.

Luo Yu hesitantly took it and stuffed the calendar into the small schoolbag. He looked up again and saw that the stall owner had disappeared. Suddenly, the world shifted, and everything around him became distorted. Luo Yu looked around in panic as the world turned black.

Then, Luo Yu woke up. He rubbed his eyes. In his sleep, he actually saw Runyu?

However, it should be thanks to the old, yellow calendar he got in his dream that Luo Yu actually had some epiphanies. In the past three days, he recited the star map like crazy, hoping to understand the true meaning.

In fact, the stars are a huge yellow calendar for the Six Realms. "The Four Elephants, the Twenty-Eight Mansions...." There is a star on duty every day, and the Night God also decides the main star every night according to this.

The more Luo Yu thought about it, the more excited he became. It was as if he had opened a second vein and was about to fly to become a Great Golden Immortal. His Eldest Highness the Night God, the strands of hair at his temples were flying, and his outerwear was flowing. He quickly jumped out of bed, sat behind the table, and opened the scroll Runyu left behind.

Luo Yu first wrote the main star that was going to be hanged tonight, and then deduced the auxiliary stars according to the solar terms of the calendar and the auspiciousness of the hour. As for the time of sunrise and sunset every day, the length of day and night is indifferent, and the knowledge of the specific direction and speed of the stars needs accumulated long-term experience, which can't be mastered by Luo Yu for a moment.

However, those Star Lords and Star Envoys have been immortals for so long. How can they not know these things? Don't they even have a little bit of pressure in their hearts to improve at their jobs? Everything needs the Night God to do. Isn't it tiring the Night God to death!?

After finishing writing, Luo Yu looked up at the sky and almost jumped up in fright. The sun had set, and the sky was dark. "Ah!! How long did I sleep!? Erfeng, you second-class bird, why didn't you call me when you saw I was asleep!?"

Just when the immortals were confused about why the sky was dark, but there were no stars or moon, they had the fortune of witnessing the Night God, with messy hair and disheveled robes, flying in the wind. It is rumored that since the Eldest Highness was molested and almost forced by the Heavenly Empress, his mood was depressed, and he almost went crazy. It seems that the rumors are not false!

Luo Yu came to the Star Raising Platform and began working. The bright white light at his fingertips swirled and flowed, and today's chosen stars slowly floated and flew into the night sky. The night is no longer dark and monotonous, and the stars are shining.

His Eldest Highness the Night God shook his wide sleeves and turned around dashingly. The gentleman in white fell from the Star Raising Platform, his beautiful back and flowing temples emanating a strange, messy beauty.

Luo Yu finished his errand and returned to Xuanji Palace humming a ballet tune. He looked down at himself and finally remembered that he should take a shower, oh no, a bath, because in ancient times, even in fairy and demon fantasy settings, people didn't have showers unless one was willing to go soak under a waterfall like Xufeng.

The big pool in the back garden of Xuanji Palace was the place he woke up in when he transmigrated. The pool there is crystal clear and cool, leading directly to the Heavenly River, with smoke and willows on the shore, and the scenery is pleasant. For water dragons, it is an excellent bathing place. Luo Yu was now a water dragon, so he went in, scrubbed himself, and changed into new clothes.

After washing, the Night God leaned on the rock by the pool, without wearing shoes and socks, and he turned his legs into a snow-white dragon tail to start his foot-soaking career.

Luo Yu made himself a large cup of hot tea, the kind that is said to be an excellent healing medicine for those with a cold constitution, sent by his cheap Heavenly Emperor father. He took a sip of the tea, and the fins at the end of the dragon's tail curled up from time to time, stirring up small waves.

Luo Yu hummed inwardly, "This is the life~."

----

Jinmi's cultivation talent is sealed, and her spiritual power is low, so she is not within the detection range of the Night God Wi-Fi. Therefore, when the heroine of Ashes of Love passed by the Star Falling Pool, Luo Yu, who was holding a cup of hot tea in his hand and closed his eyes, did not notice her at all.

When Jinmi accidentally found Luo Yu, she couldn't help sighing, "Alas, even the fish here have been forced ashore. It seems that the environment in the Heavenly Realm is really bad!"

Hearing the voice, Luo Yu opened his peach blossom eyes and found that the person talking was a beautiful youth clad in purple robes. It was difficult to distinguish this youth as a male or female fairy, and there was a spirit lock hairpin inserted in their bun.

Luo Yu couldn't help but yell in his head, "The little frost flower is online!" He wanted to hold his forehead. The heroine's aura is too powerful; Xuanji Palace is not close to Qiwu Palace and the Marriage Mansion, and they are not in the same direction. How on earth did she find this place?

His Eldest Highness the Night God thought of doing something to drive Jinmi away, but on second thought, that would be out of character for the original gentle and indisputable Night God Runyu, and finally reluctantly gave up this idea. He turned his dragon tail back into legs, got up from the pool elegantly like a fish emerging from the water, put his hands together to raise a standard greeting gesture, and asked in a gentle tone, "This little fairy is named Runyu. I don't know what the name of this fairy is?"

Jinmi copied his salute clumsily and replied brightly, "This little one's name is Jinmi. I'm a fruit spirit who has been carefully cultivated!"

Jinmi walked quickly across the arch bridge and went around to Luo Yu's side of the pool. She remembered the white tail floating in the water that glowed like an aurora and sighed innocently, "This little fish fairy, your tail is really incomparable!"

The Night God smiled indifferently, "Thank you for the praise, Fairy Jinmi." He looked at the pottery jar, reached out and grabbed a handful of ingredients, and threw them into the cup.

He was about to politely ask Jinmi if she wanted some tea when she shouted like she had seen a ghost, "Little Fish Fairy, you are so cruel! You actually eat my friend!"

Luo Yu was stunned and confused, "Your friend?"

Jinmi pointed to his teacup and said angrily, "The fruit you use to make tea is forsythia. She is my friend who grew up together!"

Luo Yu understood what she meant and complained inwardly, "Aren't these medicinal herbs just used to soak in water? Xufeng eats a plate of grapes every day, and I haven't seen you make any comments. It's really double-standard! Moreover, don't you flower fairies in the Flower Realm like to eat flower cakes? You commit cannibalism every day, but you actually have the face to comment on me?"

Luo Yu wanted to refute like this, but Jinmi was ready to cry and pleaded with a sad face, "Forsythia is so pitiful, Little Fish Fairy, don't eat her, okay? I...I'll exchange forsythia with you for something else!" As she said this, Jinmi lowered her head and took out two large red eggs from the small basket she was holding.

She placed them on the palm of her hand and showed them to Luo Yu, "These eggs were given to me by the immortal attendants of Qiwu Palace. It is a great tonic, which can increase one's spiritual power by three hundred years! I will exchange it with you for Forsythia!"

In Runyu's Xuanji Palace, there is no food except tea and books. Luo Yu, who had not touched human food for several days and only watched the drama once, forgot for a moment that the things given by Jinmi could not be eaten casually.
