Cover Story Extra: The Days of the Kuja East Route · ?
The song ends, the dance stops.
All four girls felt something strange. At that moment, another set of memories began switching through the narrow eye-slits of their masks, while the music was played aloud.
As the energetic intro began, the four women smiled and struck poses, freezing in place as they waited for the melody to build.
Soon, Marigold, taking Akali's role, was the first to move.
Cool and confident, she danced forward. As the Snake of Strength, her movements were sharp and agile, without the slightest hesitation.
Robin, in Ahri's role, was both pure and seductive. As she danced, she would occasionally sprout multiple Flower-Flower arms that spread behind her like the nine tails of a fox spirit.
Sandersonia was normally calm and composed. Spreading a pair of serpent wings from her back, she displayed a hunter-like agility whose style perfectly matched Kai'Sa.
But the most lethal of all was, naturally, Hancock.
Without question, she took Evelynn's role and perfectly embodied what a true snake demon should be. Whether it was her dreamy golden serpent eyes, her enchanting steps, or the casual way she licked the tip of a fang with her tongue and curled the corner of her lips, every gesture and movement radiated the ultimate temptation.
Liam whistled and applauded enthusiastically.
......
"I'm so useless!"
A tiny blue-haired girl wearing a tall ceremonial hat was kneeling on the ground, crying as she repeatedly smashed her seemingly delicate little fists into the floor.
Bang! Bang!
Each punch cracked the ground apart.
"Useless, useless, so useless! I actually got captured by humans! Waaaah..."
Bang! Bang!
"Waaah, I'm so stupid! Clumsy and absent-minded! On my very first day of patrol I got captured by humans! Leo is definitely going to scold me! Waaaah..."
Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!
Seeing that the floor of the room was about to be smashed into an unusable mess by the miniature blue-haired girl, Kyros hurriedly stopped her.
"Hey! Stop hitting the floor!"
She was surprisingly obedient and immediately stopped. Looking up with tear-filled eyes, she sobbed: "Waaah... If I don't escape quickly, the humans will..."
'So Dwarves really exist…' Robin watched with fascination.
'What a beautiful Dwarf girl. So this is the Dwarves Race…'
Scarlett held little Rebecca in her arms. Rebecca's eyes sparkled as she stretched out her arms and said softly: "Mommy, she's so cute!"
'My precious daughter/granddaughter, you're even cuter…'
Kyros and King Riku both felt their hearts melt at the same time. Their bones practically turned to jelly from the adorable sight.
Liam walked toward the blue-haired Dwarf girl.
Panicking, she tried to run. Her speed was astonishing as she transformed into a black blur. However, Liam reacted even faster and grabbed her again in a single motion.
"Waaahhh!!"
Seeing herself get caught so easily once more, Wicca nearly broke down.
She really was stupid!
Any random human could catch her like this!
Immediately, she burst into loud sobs.
"Waaaah! Waaaah! Waaaah! I'm so useless..."
Liam turned back and smiled.
"King Riku, isn't this a member of the Dwarves Race?"
King Riku looked puzzled.
"Huh? This is a Dwarf?"
"Isn't she?"
"Is she?" King Riku continued pretending to be confused. "I don't think she looks like one."
'Your acting is way too good! She's obviously a Dwarf!'
Even Scarlett was shocked.
In truth, the existence of the Dwarves Race was a secret known by all the locals of Dressrosa. To protect this rare race and their friends, everyone had silently agreed to keep the secret.
The Dwarves had gradually been transformed into the legend of "fairies." Whenever something went missing in town, people would simply laugh and say that the fairies had been causing trouble, and leave it at that.
What the princess hadn't expected was that even after Giorno had literally captured a living Dwarf, her father could still pretend not to understand.
That was truly impressive.
Just then, a righteous and indignant shout rang through the air:
"Hey! Big human! What are you planning to do to Wicca?!"
The blue-haired Dwarf girl in Liam's hand lit up with joy.
"Leo!"
Leo?
Liam and B.I.B. simultaneously became serious.
Well... it wasn't easy for a suit of armor to look serious.
But that was the general idea.
Another small figure similar to Wicca leapt high into the air.
It was a young Dwarf boy wielding a sewing-needle-shaped weapon. He shouted:
"Let Wicca go!"
Smack!
The Black Battle Armor walked over and casually grabbed him in one hand.
Leo struggled in midair, but no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't move.
"Huh?"
Leo was dumbfounded. He tried again and still couldn't move.
"What's going on? Can I fly now?"
Little Rebecca's eyes sparkled.
"Wow, he's so cute too..."
A few minutes later, both Leo and Wicca had been released.
Laughing cheerfully, they said: "So you're King Riku's friends! Then everything's fine!"
'You two trust people way too easily…' Robin, Scarlett, Kyros, and King Riku all couldn't help thinking the same thing.
Squatting down in front of the two Dwarves, Liam smiled and said: "Since we're all friends, it would only be reasonable for you to invite us to your home as guests, right?"
"Yay!" Little Rebecca was the first to clap excitedly.
"No problem!" Leo raised his hand in a salute.
"Since we're friends, it's totally fine!" Wicca agreed with a bright smile.
'See? This is exactly the problem, you trust people too easily…'
King Riku felt speechless.
That was precisely why the Riku family had hidden the existence of the Dwarves Race all those years ago. These innocent little people were simply far too easy to deceive.
Liam stood up and held out an arm.
Little Rebecca immediately climbed over and sat on his shoulder.
"Daddy, Mommy, let's go see the little people with Big Brother~~" Rebecca giggled as she looked back at Kyros and Scarlett.
Kyros was so alarmed by his daughter's innocent lack of caution that he hardly dared move.
Giorno was an extremely dangerous pirate!
With his daughter sitting on Giorno's shoulder, Kyros felt as though she were a fragile glass artwork that could shatter at any moment. He was terrified, yet unable to do anything.
Robin chuckled.
"Children's eyes are often better at distinguishing good from evil."
"..."
Scarlett, still worried, glanced at Robin before giving King Riku a slight nod.
King Riku could only sigh helplessly.
"In that case, I have only one request, let only the few of us go."
"Your Majesty!" The soldiers cried out in alarm.
King Riku waved a hand.
"That's an order. Kyros, don't get your weapon."
"..."
Kyros could only withdraw his hand and stay close beside King Riku, keeping a watchful eye on Giorno.
However, Giorno wasn't even looking at him.
With Rebecca on his shoulder, he was busy teasing the two Dwarves.
King Riku revealed a gentle smile.
"Let's just treat this as a family outing."
Seeing her daughter smiling brightly atop Giorno's shoulder, Scarlett also smiled.
As they left the Corrida Colosseum, the Dwarf Leo tried to climb into Robin's arms, apparently intending to use the giant human as free transportation.
Liam casually smacked him away.
"Hey, kid, what do you think you're doing?"
Standing on the ground, a question mark practically appeared above Leo's head.
He couldn't understand why he'd been hit.
Robin burst out laughing and gave Liam a teasing look.
Liam snorted and avoided her gaze.
Robin immediately moved around to get a better look at his expression...
Witnessing this scene, Kyros and Scarlett couldn't help smiling as well.
Perhaps little Rebecca really did have remarkably good judgment.
These two people… Weren't the evil pirates described in the newspapers at all.
On the road to Green Bit, the island adjacent to Dressrosa, where the Dwarves lived… Leo sat on the shoulder of little Rebecca, who in turn was sitting on Liam's shoulder.
Curiously, he asked: "Leo Ultraman? What's that?"
Liam replied with a serious expression: "Leo Ultraman really exists..."
Just as they approached the great bridge leading to Green Bit, a black shadow appeared in the sky behind the group. Flapping its wings as it flew after them, it was followed by a massive swarm of wild bees.
Buzz! Buzz! Buzz! Buzz!
Like a dark cloud, the swarm surged toward Liam and the others.
