Chapter 181 - Break

"I'll translate for you."

"Ah~"

009 raised a hand to stop Arthur. "Fine, okay."

Arthur blinked. "That's it?"

This wasn't 009's style.

Yes, killing until the end was 009's consistent style.

However, 009 considered another factor this time.

If those two were dead, Jena might not honestly translate; she might twist words, sabotaging 009's plan as revenge.

Conversely, leaving them alive as leverage, giving the girl a glimmer of hope, was far more controllable.

...

Though reluctant, what choice did they have?

They couldn't kill 009, nor could they defeat Arthur. With the Paladin's arm severed, surrender was their only option.

009 and his companions departed. Jena watched carefully as the Paladin, clutching his severed arm, knelt.

"Zane, what happened?!"

Paladin Zane shook his head. "Honestly… not optimistic…"

"Where's the holy remedy? Don't Paladins use holy remedies?"

"But I'm an oath-breaker…"

"Then what do we do?"

"Do you remember what we… retrieved from that tomb?"

"You mean that?"

"Are you sure?"

"No time for hesitation."

Blood continued to flow from Paladin Zane's severed arm. The lute-carrying man gritted his teeth, pulling a vial of green liquid from his bag!

"Think carefully, if…"

Before he could finish, Zane drank the entire vial in one gulp!

The instant he swallowed, his body was instantly covered in purplish-green veins, his muscles bulging, the severed arm wound closing instantly!

But his eyes had turned green.

This was something they found during a previous subterranean tomb exploration.

It was an alchemist's tomb; many vials were found inside, their labels strange and cryptic.

Lover's Heart, Father's Blood, Mother's Tears, Child's Hate, Beggar's Tongue…

The effects of these potions were unknown. The alchemist who created them was a sorceress, so they hadn't dared to consume them.

However, they had brought a few vials to a herbalist, asking him to study their effects.

The herbalist informed them that these were all lost formulas of forbidden potions, some having lost their efficacy over time.

Those still potent carried uncertain risks and unpredictable mutations. Their effects were often inhuman. They ultimately kept only two vials, giving the rest to the herbalist.

The two they retained were Brother's Bond and Sage's Eye.

The herbalist explained that these potions were products of alchemic principles, specifically the law of equivalence – an exchange of equal value.

What is the law of equivalence? The fundamental principle of alchemy: equivalent exchange.

For every gain, there is a loss.

For every benefit received, a corresponding drawback will be incurred.

Brother's Bond could heal any pain, but the side effect was that the drinker could never again be healed from pain through any method.

In a dire emergency, this potion might be useful.

Thus, they carried it with them.

The other potion was kept for a more personal reason.

Sage's Eye allowed one to see the true world; the side effect was the inability to perceive falsehoods.

What constitutes truth? Simply, something unadulterated by lies.

In essence, the drinker could discern truth from lies.

This wasn't limited to falsehoods; it had broader applications.

But that was irrelevant now.

"We have to rescue Jena."

Yes, they had to rescue Jena, but how?

A submerged poet and a glory-less Paladin with a severed arm.

What could they possibly do?

Both men fell silent.

"We have to save her. We can't abandon our companion; it's my oath."

"Whether it's an oath or not, I would never abandon a comrade."

Hearing Zane's words, the lute-carrying man was startled. "Perhaps… I misunderstood you. Even without an oath, you're the true Paladin."

Zane suddenly bowed his head.

He remembered someone: Achilles. They'd joined the Church together, becoming Paladins simultaneously.

But Achilles' brilliance overshadowed all others, rendering the other Paladins insignificant.

Achilles had once said something similar to Zane.

"Perhaps you are the true Paladin."

Back then, Zane had asked him, "Do you not consider yourself righteous?"

Achilles had only replied, "If righteousness always triumphs, then the loser is always evil."

The battle between good and evil was a tired cliché, yet Paladins always stood on the side of righteousness.

Achilles, however, introduced a new perspective.

The victor is righteous; the loser is evil.

This contradicted the rules of righteousness, yet it objectively existed.

Without the intervention of these otherworldly beings, Achilles would have become the embodiment of righteousness.

But now, he had nothing to do with that word.

As he himself had said, the loser was evil.

Zane stood up. "The Church and Empire are gone. This catastrophe is immense, and a fragmented war could easily erupt again."

"But we can't do much more. Rescuing our companion is all we can do right now."

"This isn't righteousness; I'm tired of that word."

"I'm tired of the cumbersome rituals. I've abandoned everything about being a Paladin; I only want to save our friend."

"For that goal, I'll use any means necessary. Because right now, I'm a warrior."

Hearing Zane's words, Larter, the lute-carrying man, was startled.

"Are you sure you mean that?"

"This is the truest truth, unchanged by ten truths."

"If so, I have an idea."

"But prepare yourself mentally, because what I'm about to show you is something the Church vehemently opposed, something forbidden."

"At this point, even the Church is gone. What does it matter?"

"True."

Larter took a deep breath, then rolled up his right sleeve. His right arm was tightly wrapped in bandages.

The bandages bore golden veins, and smelled faintly of mithril and holy water.

Zane was keenly sensitive to the scent. "No wonder I kept smelling holy salt and sulfur. I thought I was mistaken. Is your arm infected?"

Larter didn't answer, but pulled back the bandage, revealing the arm beneath.

The moment the bandage was removed, Zane gasped.

He couldn't believe what he saw.

It was a decaying arm; at the wrist was a writhing purple eye, surrounded by twisted sinews. The foul stench was overwhelming!

Even without being a Paladin, one could sense the aura of profound malevolence and corruption!

"A relic of the Broken King?"

Zane's eyes widened; he recognized the arm.

This wasn't just a legend; it was a piece of history.

The Broken King was a name known to many, as he was the ancestor of the Moors.

Many knew of the Atura Treasury, but few knew that this so-called treasury was a collection of treasures amassed through the Moorish ancestor's pillaging and slaughter!

But few knew the truth about the Broken King.

He also had another name: Stargazer.

He was a legendary mage from 1400 years ago, who studied magic by observing the stars.

He was also a descendant of dragons.

As its implied, he was the child of an Ancient Dragon and a human, possessing half-dragon blood; his obsession with wealth was ingrained in his very being.

Dragons hoard treasure in their lairs; the Broken King was no different.

Strictly speaking, the Moors were all descendant of dragons.

However, due to countless generations of inheritance, this bloodline power had become exceedingly weak, almost nonexistent.

Thus, the world's rigid perception of the Moors was accurate, as many traits were ingrained in their blood.

Then, one day, the Broken King went mad.

He claimed that in his dreams, he'd seen himself in the distant cosmos, observing the planets beneath him!

He claimed to have seen the truth, the world's true nature, the essence of Heaven itself!

He went insane. His body twisted and contorted during his descent into madness!

He became a monstrous being, neither human nor beast!

The first Pope, the White Emperor, ultimately slew him.

But the White Emperor discovered that the Broken King was immortal; even when cut into countless pieces, his body survived!

And these pieces continued to grow, forming new life forms without needing to be reconnected!

This twisted and horrifying form of life baffled the White Emperor.

Fortunately, holy water and mithril could inhibit the growth of those flesh fragments. The White Emperor ultimately sealed them within the sacred site of Annas.

Centuries later, after numerous trials and tribulations, the sacred site suffered an unprecedented devastating attack.

The sealed remains of the Broken King vanished without a trace.

But…

"Afterward, a legend circulated among the Moors: the Broken King's body would seek out a successor."

"Whoever could gather the Broken King's body would become the King of the Moors."

Larter threw his glove aside, revealing his grotesque, inky-black fingers.

"I've been hunted ever since I possessed the Broken King's hand, fleeing from the Southern Continent to here."

"They killed my grandmother, strangled my younger sister, all for this hand."

"This is my greatest secret. Not only my own people but also the Church have been searching for the Broken King's remains, so I've never dared to reveal it."

Zane's expression was complex.

"So you're showing me this… is that alright?"

"Didn't you just say the Church is gone, and you're no longer a Paladin?"

"As friends, I'm telling you my greatest secret; I'm not hiding anything."

"Because I trust you."

Zane understood Larter's meaning. "So you intend to use this power to rescue Jena?"

"Yes, but it's not enough."

"I can sense the opponent's power; this arm is screaming at me. That swordsman was terrifying!"

"If I dared to reveal the Broken King's relic before him, he could sever my arm just as he did yours!"

"So, this isn't enough."

"We need to go to the Atura Treasury. It holds two-tenths of the Broken King's body, along with the legendary Heaven-defying Sword."

Zane shook his head. "Impossible. After the Church took control, the key became the White Emperor's wedding band."

"Without the ring, we can't enter the Atura Treasury."

Larter turned. "No, you're wrong. The Treasury isn't only opened by a key. The Broken King's remains can open the Treasury themselves."

"Because the Treasury's door is alive."

"But with the Church around, I couldn't openly try to open it."

"Now that the Church is gone, no one will stop us."

"We're going to Sacred Mount Snow."

...

On the ruins of the Yaren Empire's capital.

Angel Moon examined the ring and key, her expression thoughtful. "Do you know what these are for?"

The True Ancestor's face paled.

He had no choice but to cooperate with the being who had effortlessly defeated him.

Why? Because Mei's orders were absolute.

Even if they had a deep-seated hatred, they had to cooperate if Mei commanded it.

Though reluctant, the True Ancestor answered the Angel's question.

After extracting Achilles' memories, he knew the secret of the key and ring.

"The key is from a Heaven-born creature; it opens a space called the Sanctuary."

"And the ring… opens a treasury in this world."

"A treasury?"

"Where is it located?"

"In… the far north, Sacred Mount Snow."

Angel Moon smiled faintly, putting the key and ring away. "Thank you for the information, 008."

"Good work."

With that, the Angel vanished.

Once the Angel left, the True Ancestor couldn't help but curse, "Damn Angel, just you wait until I reach 5th Step…"

As the only known 5th Step, the Angel was the undisputed queen of the monster faction.

No matter how reluctant the True Ancestor was, he had to bow to the Angel.

This other world might be an opportunity—a chance to surpass the Angel and become the second 5th Step.

But how to exploit this opportunity wouldn't be easy.

Mei's gaze was fixed on the 5th Step power level in this world.

Mei didn't care about those who claimed to be 5th Step, like Achilles, who were actually just four 3rd Steps.

Therefore, the True Ancestor had to raise his ambitions.

But against a true 5th Step, the True Ancestor wasn't confident.

He lacked an absolute attribute, unlike the Frost King, who could leverage an absolute attribute for surpassing his level.

He could only proceed cautiously, step by step.

The most suitable strategy was to eliminate this world's four strongest beings, then use the Philosopher's Stone to convert their power.

Two of the four strong—Achilles and Styx—were already dead.

Two remained:

A Crimson Lady, and the High Tower Master of the Mage Tower.

"Let's take the High Tower first."

"According to Achilles' memories, both are at most 3rd Step physically; their attack power might barely reach upper 4th Step."

"But even so, they can't match the Sea King; their inherent lifeforms are the key."

"They are human, not other life forms. They have weaknesses; they are easily killed, unlike the nearly immortal Sea King."

"Thus, I have a way to eliminate them one by one."

...

To begin our industrial approach, we should start with the leading industrial city: Iron City in the south.

The most intelligent minds reside in the High Tower in the east.

009's group of three headed south, preparing to initiate their plan in Iron City.

Iron City was said to be partially underground.

It was built at the foot of Dragon Volcano, an active volcano, where the dwarves harnessed geothermal energy for their massive star-metal forges.

They could melt the world's hardest metals, forging the world's finest weapons.

This provided 009 with the necessary industrial prerequisites: basic production capacity and technology.

But to elevate this millenia-old technology, production and technology alone weren't enough.

They needed to recruit the continent's most brilliant minds to correct and advance the technological tree.

Who were the most brilliant minds? Mages, whose intellect far exceeded that of ordinary humans.

This wasn't absolute, but generally true.

Mages possessed extremely high mental power, far exceeding the brain development of ordinary humans. Their thinking and computational abilities were far superior.

Among these outstanding mages was the High Tower Master, Professor Starry, one of the continent's four strongest beings and the foremost mage of modern times.

Professor Starry rarely appeared in public; even core members of the High Tower seldom saw him.

Few knew his appearance, so that could wait.

First, secure Iron City, establish a firm foundation, then invite the professor—that was 009's plan.

On the way to Iron City, 009 couldn't help but ponder something.

He possessed Absolute Indestructibility; Arthur had Absolute Severance.

What would happen if Arthur tried to cut him?

"Have you heard this parable? In our world, there was an old weapons salesman. He claimed to have the world's sharpest spear and the world's strongest shield."

"Someone asked, 'If your spear is the sharpest, then there's no shield it can't pierce. And if your shield is the strongest, then there's no attack it can't withstand.' "

"This was clearly a contradiction, so someone suggested the salesman use his strongest spear to pierce his strongest shield."

"This parable is called Self-Contradiction."

Jena found the story familiar. "So, what was the outcome?"

"Did the shield block the spear, or did the spear pierce the shield?"

"The spear pierced the shield."

"But that contradicts the claim that the shield was the strongest!"

"The problem isn't there. The old man's spear wasn't the sharpest, and his shield wasn't the strongest, so the outcome is meaningless."

"But we are different."

009 looked at Arthur. They were the strongest spear and the strongest shield.

The same contradiction, but absolute.

Nothing could be stronger than 009; nothing could be sharper than Arthur.

So, if Arthur tried to cut 009, what would happen?

Would it be the spear-and-shield result – 009 being pierced or cut?

Uncertain.

If 009 were pierced or cut by Arthur, then he wouldn't have Absolute Indestructibility, violating the absolute attribute.

Absolute attributes are absolute; they are the rules themselves.

Therefore, 009 absolutely could not be pierced or cut.

But this violates Arthur's absolute attribute. If he can strike, he can cut; that's absolute.

If he can't cut, it violates his absolute attribute.

009 considered a possibility, but it was only speculation.

His first thought was that absolute attributes have priority levels.

A higher-priority attribute would take precedence.

If Arthur's attribute had higher priority than 009's, then 009 would be cut.

That's the gist of it, but pure conjecture.

The only way to know for sure was to try.

"Arthur, cut me."

Arthur hesitated. "Are you sure you want to try this? What if we create a bug and the world collapses?"

"That's not our problem. If I don't try, I won't sleep tonight." 009 said.

Since 009 insisted…

Let's cut!

Arthur's eyes hardened; he slashed at 009's shoulder!

Just as his blade neared 009, his hand twitched, slicing through empty air.

"Huh?"

"What are you doing?"

Arthur reacted; his blade slashed again!

009 suddenly bent down.

???

Neither was calm.

"First, why did you deflect your attack?"

"Can I say I was uncontrollably compelled?"

"Me too."

Their gazes locked; they began another experiment!

They tried approximately forty times, but each attempt was thwarted for various reasons; they couldn't make contact.

For some reason, an invisible force seemed to repel them, like magnets with opposing poles.

Even when 009 used Absolute Hit to strike the blade, the blade would vanish!

It was as if…

"The universe is preventing this from happening."

That was the only explanation, but it wasn't a conclusion.

The strongest spear and the strongest shield were ultimately…

No, they had already been determined.

Both were the strongest; both were absolute.

Their inability to connect meant there was no outcome. Without an outcome, both were simultaneously the strongest.

Like Schrödinger's cat, the situation remained unobservable; the spear-and-shield outcome would forever remain unknown.

Perhaps this was the true answer to the paradox?

...

Meanwhile, on Earth.

The giant octopus inside Vespa, had been forcibly transported to Earth by Mei.

The giant octopus was unaware of what had happened, only that it had landed on an immense landmass.

This landmass was devoid of dust or soil; its surface was smooth and flawless.

It looked around; nothing was visible except a vast, barren expanse. In the distance, however, five colossal pillars pierced the sky.

Ahead lay an endless, sprawling road.

The road's end vanished into the horizon.

The octopus looked up, and its vision swam.

In the sky, two gigantic suns hung high above it.

For a moment, those suns seemed to shift, their light focusing on the octopus.

The perspective widened. This wasn't Earth.

This was somewhere within the Solar System.

Here, a colossal being, like a giant god, loomed!

And the octopus lay in the giant's hand.

Fear, undeniable Absolute Terror, instantly coursed through the octopus's every nerve.

In an instant, the landmass beneath it began to tremble; the five colossal pillars collapsed!

Splash! Splash!

As a cloud of ink erupted, the colossal octopus was crushed into a vaguely humanoid mass of bloody flesh—a Takoyaki of flesh.

Its body shrunk, dividing into four parts.

Then, a vase appeared in mid-air.

"Next, you."

...

On Earth, within the Reason World, Chino suddenly heard a resonant echo.

He looked up; a point of light appeared in the cosmos.

The light expanded, growing until it manifested before him as a minuscule vial of potion.

Chino sensed an opportunity for evolution.

"Thank you, my god. I will not fail your expectations."

A finger descended from the heavens, pointing to another colossal monster. "She… is yours."

Chino bowed his head. "Yes, my god."

A tentacle snaked out, seizing the vial and drawing it into his body. Chino turned towards another enormous sea creature in the city.

This creature was identical in overall appearance, sharing the same sea-being form with a humanoid shape.

However, she was more feminine, possessing distinct female reproductive characteristics.

Her form wasn't as bloated as Chino's; her humanoid features were clearer.

Though her body was also a multitude of intertwined tentacles, they were more delicately interwoven, resembling the exposed muscles of a human without skin.

Her body was mostly bone; very little flesh was visible.

Chino, on the other hand, only had a bone-like head; the rest was a bulky mass of flesh.

She was a different individual from Sea King Chino, created from a variant of the same potion: 028 Hydra.

She had been a monster for a long time, yet she still hadn't adapted to this body.

She and Chino shared an unspoken connection.

From the moment she appeared, Chino knew who she was, but she didn't know him.

And Chino hadn't told her his identity.

"Liuyue… Cough, my god commands us to conquer another dimension; you will assist me."

Hydra turned. "You still claim you're not Chino?"

Chino's tentacles tightened behind him; he had a recurring problem.

He couldn't help but use a similar-sounding name for Liuyue.

He unconsciously uttered the name.

Hydra approached Chino. "If you're not Chino, just tell me. Don't make this into a melodrama, keeping the audience hanging."

"I'm not Chino."

"I don't believe you."

Chino: "…"

The truth was, there were some things he couldn't control.

At that moment, a red mist suddenly swept across the sky.

Chino looked up; the red mist swirled and twisted, coalescing into two large characters in the sky.

Don't act.

An invisible black line briefly appeared on Chino's forehead. He blew a gust of air, dissipating the words.

"Departure in 30 minutes. Prepare to face powerful enemies."

"Another world must have a 5th Step powerhouse; otherwise, my god wouldn't have sent us, nor would she have given me this evolution."

Since Mei gave Chino a potion, the other world's power level must exceed 4th Step.

Mei must have sent him against a 5th Step opponent; otherwise, she wouldn't have given Chino a potion to help him reach 5th Step.

Chino was already a high-level 4th Step; with another potion, reaching 5th Step was almost certain.

Hydra was similar, but her overall strength was between lower and mid-level 4th Step.

Even though the potions were similar, the effects varied.

Chino had already explored his powers since he received the potion, but Hydra hadn't.

She was still adapting, and that was a slow process.

Combat experience would be necessary to rapidly adapt.

...

In another world.

The endless wasteland.

The Frost King, riding his frost dragon, descended from the sky. Countless mounted White Walkers awaited.

"Have you found it?"

"My King, we have. But… something strange is there. I can't describe it; you should see it for yourself."

The Frost King dismounted, but before he could go, the dragon suddenly unleashed a chilling blast of frost.

The Frost King turned to see the dragon incredibly weak.

What was wrong? Hungry?

The Frost King looked at the dragon in confusion. Did undead dragons need to eat?

It was undead, after all.

The dragon wasn't alive; it was an undead dragon resurrected by Styx using necromancy.

It was the Northern Mountain dragon slain by Achilles.

Later, the dragon's corpse was stolen by the Dark Council while being retrieved by the Church.

They performed a resurrection ritual, successfully reviving the Northern Mountain dragon to become Styx's mount.

That's where Styx's black dragon came from.

"So?"

The dragon opened its mouth; something seemed to be lodged in its throat.

Understanding, the Frost King reached into the dragon's mouth and searched.

He unexpectedly pulled out a hard object.

The object was round and highly polished.

It seemed to have grown together with the dragon. With a tug, he pulled it off.

It was a green orb.

The orb was covered in decaying green flesh; a foul stench assaulted his nostrils, making the Frost King wrinkle his nose.

"What is this?"

"This… seems to be… something used in necromantic rituals." A White Walker said.

The Frost King indifferently tossed the orb aside.

The dragon was already a corpse, possessing a barely 4th Step power after being resurrected by Styx.

But the Frost King wasn't afraid of the undead; he could easily claim any undead mount.

When fighting Styx, he froze both the dragon and Styx.

The True Ancestor drained Styx's blood, leaving the old necromancer a desiccated husk.

With Styx dead, the undead dragon would lose its control; the Frost King would claim it without hesitation.

After the orb was removed, the frost dragon seemed relieved.

The Frost King's power was superior; his resurrected White Walkers retained their original consciousness.

Combined with his frost powers, the dragon was stronger than in life.

Even so, this wasteland held a 5th Step being.

Even with two 4th Steps on his side, and his absolute attribute, the Frost King couldn't afford to be careless.

...

In the endless wasteland, on this frost-covered plain, only one large mountain stood out.

This mountain was the only elevation in the wasteland, visible even when the Frost King first arrived.

After a thorough search by the White Walkers, they discovered that this mountain was the entrance to the Molten Fire Palace.

Legend held that the Fire Eater, Nara, resided beneath the Molten Fire Palace.

It was said that beneath the palace lay Hell, the destination of sinful souls, where flames burned eternally, consuming even souls.

Sinful souls suffered torment in the Molten Hell, ultimately becoming food for Death, their souls scattered.

Only three individuals in history are recorded to have met Nara.

The first was the one who discovered the Molten Fire Palace. He named the place and, remarkably, survived the encounter.

He seemed to have struck a bargain with Nara, gaining superhuman power. He became incredibly famous in history.

He almost unified the continent after the fragmented war, becoming the second to wage a global war.

His name was Uragon; he single-handedly challenged Heaven.

He died a gruesome death.

But his valiant story continues to be told. He was the first to raise a defiant blade against Heaven.

The legendary Heaven-defying Sword, his weapon, was allegedly obtained by the first Pope, the White Emperor, and has since remained sealed away.

The second person to meet Nara met a tragic end.

Legend says he was the progenitor of Vampires, an alchemist who sought Nara's blood, willing to pay any price.

He tried to emulate Uragon; believing Nara would be amenable, he sought the Ancient God's Blood.

Unfortunately, he didn't survive.

The third was well-known.

Achilles.

But the reason for his visit remained a secret. Though he returned alive, he never revealed what transpired.

Now, the fourth arrived.

The Frost King reached the foot of the mountain. Its peak resembled a crescent moon, with a circular depression in the center.

It was once a hot spring, now frozen solid under the frost.

"It's just ahead."

The Frost King followed the White Walker across the frozen lake. Before them stood a double-leaf metal door.

On either side were murals depicting sword-wielding knights.

"Legend says there was no door, no Molten Fire Palace, until an unnamed empire discovered it and built this palace."

"The style of the murals, the knights' armor… they are ancient beyond any records."

"Then it must be older than the fragmented war, old enough to predate the age of wild magic."

"Are you a tour guide?"

The White Walker scratched his head. "Uh… my apologies, my King. The Molten Fire Palace is down there."

"What did you find strange?"

The White Walker stepped forward. The eyes of the two knight murals on the door suddenly swiveled towards him.

"State your name!" x2

A raspy voice echoed from the door, surprising the Frost King.

"This door… is alive?"

The White Walker turned. "No, it's a magical construct, a conscious entity created by magic."

The Frost King stepped forward.

"I am Achilles."

The eyes of both murals flashed red!

"Lie!" x2

"You are not Achilles!" x2

"State your name!" x2

The Frost King was surprised. "They… understand me?"

The White Walker nodded. "My King, these magical constructs possess linguistic magic. They don't need to hear your words; they understand your intent."

"Interesting."

"I am Styx."

The knights' eyes flashed red again. "Lie!" x2

Could they discern lies?

"I am Yan."

The knights' eyes turned green.

"State your purpose." x2

A White Walker stepped forward. "My King, this is the Gate of Honesty. You must answer truthfully; it can detect lies."

The Gate of Honesty…

"I intend to kill Nara."

The knights' eyes gleamed green. "To pass, you must overcome our trial!" x2

"What trial?"

"Answer our questions!" x2

"Listen carefully. First question: What do you believe is the value of life?" x2

This was philosophical.

Was there a correct answer?

Or did it matter more to answer honestly?

"The value of life…"

The Frost King suddenly laughed. "Only life recognized by my goddess, Lord Aurora, has value. All others are worthless."

"Lie!" x2

The knights' eyes flashed red.

The Frost King sighed. "All life I recognize has equal value."

The Frost King still couldn't forget his old comrades.

"Second question: If a Heaven-born being descended to Earth, offering salvation to humanity, would you rebel or obey?" x2

What did the salvation of humanity have to do with him?

"It depends on whether I can win." The Frost King answered honestly.

Win, and he'd kill. Lose, and he'd consider his options.

"Third question: What do you believe Ancient Gods are?" x2

"Just beings a bit stronger than humans, right?" The Frost King said.

The knights' eyes flashed red. "By our unanimous decision, you may not pass. You will never have the right to enter the world beyond this gate!" x2

"Bullshit!"

The Frost King unleashed a powerful kick against the door!

But his powerful kick posed no threat to the gate.

The Frost King turned and mounted his dragon. "I haven't time for games; get out of my way!"

The White Walkers immediately dispersed.

The Frost King soared into the air. "Dragon's Breath!"

"ROAR!!"

The frost dragon roared, unleashing a torrent of freezing breath!

The breath covered an immense area, filled with countless sharp shards of ice, relentlessly assaulting the metal gate!

Boom!! Boom!!

"Give me more firepower!"

The dragon's breath intensified, lasting for over five minutes.

After the barrage, the gate was encased in frost, countless shards embedded in its surface.

The Frost King gestured; two White Walkers stepped forward, their ice tridents aimed at the cracks in the gate.

But…

"It seems unnecessary, my King!"

Damn it!

The Frost King descended, about to kick the door again, but the two White Walkers restrained him!

"My King, calm down!"

"Such a forceful assault might trigger the Gate of Honesty's counterattack, making it even harder to pass!"

"Don't stop me! I have to destroy this damn gate today!"
