At the end of June, the weather was hot, making people restless. Yan Luoxi had just returned from the eternally spring-like Dali. As she stepped out of the airport, a wave of heat hit her, making her wish she could return to Dali and stay until autumn.
"Sister Luoxi, it's so hot in the Imperial Capital!" Following Yan Luoxi, Gu Qian also fanned herself with her hand as the two dragged their suitcases out, immediately drenched in sweat like a downpour.
Yan Luoxi hurriedly walked towards the private car parked by the roadside. The driver stood by the car and stepped forward to take their suitcases and put them in the back seat. Yan Luoxi and Gu Qian had already gotten into the car.
The air conditioning in the car alleviated the summer heat. Yan Luoxi exhaled deeply, took a tissue to wipe Gu Qian's face, and grabbed two bottles of ice-cold mineral water from the small fridge. She unscrewed the cap of one bottle and handed it to Gu Qian, saying, "Drink some cold water to cool down."
