As the three walked down the stairs to Cheng Xiao did behind the two.
"Morning Cheng Xiao." Lu Meng said from behing as Xu Mingyu held her hand for support.
"Morning sister-in-law." Cheng Xiao greeted her back.
"I trust that you slept well?" Lu Meng asked.
"I did thank you for asking." Cheng Xiao replied.
"You did a good job in hiding the marks." Lu Meng whispered in Cheng Xiao's ear making her blush again.
"In a few months we are going to be expecting news from you as well." Lu Meng teased.
"Not you too." Cheng Xiao whined.
When they arrived at the dining table Cheng Xiao saw that most of the family had arrived even Xu Kai's grandparents were present. Cheng Xiao felt all their eyes fall on and she lowered her head in embarrassment. All the elders looked at her with knowing smiles which made everything worse.
Xu Kai called her to come and sit with him, but she ignored him and went to sit with Xu Xiyu and Xu Xaioli. She knew she was going to be teased and she did not want it to happen at the moment when she was seated next to him.
Xu Mingyu stood up and started dishing up for his wife, Xu Kai decided to do the same and stood up but Cheng Xiao shook her telling him no. She dished for herself and went back to her seat.
"How did sleep Cheng Xiao?" Xu Kai's mother asked.
"I slept well mother." Cheng Xiao replied.
"I am happy you were so considerate in my request yesterday." His mother said and Cheng Xiao choked on what she was eating and started coughing.
Xu Xiaoli who was the nearest to her started patting her on the back while Xu Xiyu poured a glass of water.
"I am sorry dear." Xu Kai's mother apologized.
"Kids these days, what is there to be embarrassed? He is your husband after what you did is legal." His grandmother chimed in.
"I can assume that by next I would be holding another grandchild from you." Xu Kai's father joined in and in that moment, Cheng Xiao wished that the ground would swallow her.
"Okay that is enough teasing." Xu Kai said knew.
Cheng Xiao's whole face was red, she didn't know she could hide. She sent Xu Kai a glare, he had thought that he helped her, but she glared at him.
"Ah, it is so nice to be young and in love." His grandfather.
"It reminded of us when we first married, we were so full of passion like them." His grandmother said with a smile being reminded of her youth.
"We are still passionate." Grandfather Xu said and took his wife's hand and placed a kiss on it, now it was Grandmother Xu's turn for her face turned red.
"Oh, stop it." She said pushing him away.
"Weren't you the one who said there was nothing wrong with it and it was legal." Grandfather Xu teased.
"Well, that is a different case." She replied.
"How?" He asked.
"They are young and not old people like us." She replied.
"Granny, you are not old you still look young. You and grandfather still are the best," Xu Xiyu said.
"Xiyu, dear don't start supporting your grandfather." Grandmother Xu said.
"Xiao, Xiao don't mind these people it is harmless teasing. We are all happy to see this brat married, at one point we thought that he was into men but now we all know he is not." Grandmother said to Cheng Xiao who hid her face behind her bowl.
"Yes, grandmother!" Cheng Xiao replied.
"Come dear." Grandmother Xu called her over.
"Yes, grandma!" Cheng Xiao said and stood up.
"Hold out your hand." Grandmother Xu said when Cheng Xiao came over to her.
