"But you can't tell anyone we are already married. I am only giving you permission to pursue me at work." Cheng Xiao explained.
"No problem, let us take this time and date, I never gave you that so, I am more than happy to start as your pursuer." Xu Kai said and took her hand.
Cheng Xiao pulled her hand out of his and told him to behave himself, Xu Kai nodded like an obedient puppy. Cheng Xiao looked at him and shook her; this was the man who people in the industry mostly feared but was acting like a damn puppy to her.
Who would believe that the whole almighty Xu Kai was just wrapped around his wife's finger. He was more of a henpecked husband than his father. Xu Kai's father, despite being the chairman of the group and had so many matters to take care of the moment his wife called the meeting was over and he would rush to his wife. If he dared to complain Mrs. Xu would throw a tantrum and say that even, if she was on her deathbed she would not bother him.
Mrs. Xu was very dramatic, and she passed on that trait to Xu Xiyu, while the rest of them took after their father.
"Let's go up." Cheng Xiao said and opened the car door and got out.
They walked towards the elevator together, Xu Kai decided to get into the employee elevator instead of his own private one. Shen Mu and Su Li both got into the lift and winked at Cheng Xiao, Su Li raised an eyebrow at Cheng Xiao as to ask why they were together and Cheng Xiao mouthed that she will tell her.
Shen Mu felt that she could not leave yet when they reached her floor, Xu Kai got out but gave her hand a squeeze as he left. The three women were alone in the elevator and they both turned to Cheng Xaio.
"Spill it!" Su Li said.
"Spill what?" Cheng Xiao feigning ignorance.
"Don't give me that, you know what I mean." Su Li said.
"You guys came up together and he rode with you instead of using his own." Shen Mu stated marking it down.
"Yes, we did!" Cheng Xiao said tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.
The ring was visible and Su Li rushed and grabbed Cheng Xiao's hand. The two women stared at the ring and looked back at Cheng Xiao.
"When did this happen?" Shen Mu asked.
"This morning, he proposed to me." Cheng Xiao said with a blush.
"But you are already married." Su Li said as a matter of fact.
"Yes, but this one is to stay with till death separate us." Cheng Xiao said.
"That's deep!" Shen Mu muttered.
"But I have decided to give him permission to pursue me inside the office." Cheng Xiao said.
"You did!" They both said shock.
"Are you my friend?" Shen Mu asked turning Cheng Xiao around.
