Walking up to the altar he couldn't help but ask where the others were. Apparently they were busy doing their own thing and the woman called Silva didn't come because she lost the bet.
Damon still didn't like the fact they were betting if he lived or perished. It was absurd and completely wrong for them to bet on such a thing to him, but it was nothing he could do about it and he was too afraid to share his thoughts on the matter.
Looking at the book he could see multiple clouds on the cover along with storming rains and lightning. The images moved like they were alive and occasionally lit up with a blue hue as lighting strikes flashed down in silence.
Greenhorn stood off to the side looking at him with moody eyes.
"Are you going to grab it or just stare at it jeesh."
Damon looked at him for moment while thinking of how such a monstrous beast could have such a human like personality. With the way greenhorn spoke, he seemed a bit human in his own strange way.
Damon slowly placed his hand over and the book flew open flipping from page to page very fast like the wind was carrying it. It stopped on one page releasing a thunderous sound with a blinding light.

Looking at all of them it didn't seem like he had many. Most of them were passive/mental skills. He did feel they all would make a huge difference when it came to combining them the correct way. He glanced at the notification about the affinity shards with a defined smirk when something else popped into his view.

The message faded and the book closed turning into a ball of clouds that entered into his body. There was no pain or discomfort, the energy entered and dispersed.
Turning around greenhorn stood there with a creepy smile that sent shivers down his spine. They talked a bit more and greenhorn gave him a couple of tips.
"Abilities can only get you so far, so remember kid, be creative and cut loose. Oh, and it wasn't just your luck that got you this far, luck is more of a you thing, you took chances and that takes guts." He said smiling.
Damon wanted to ask him why was he smiling all the time and to tell him his smile was very unnerving, but couldn't bring himself to repeat his thoughts out loud.
The next moment Damons body disappeared and appearing beside greenhorn was a white haired beauty wearing gold and blue armor.
"Pay up."
"It's far from over, Double or nothing." She said with stern eyes.
Greenhorn smiled while taking in a deep breath.
"You're on."

Waking up pouring with sweat Damon looked around slowly. He was laying on some type large hammock with thick leaves and huge vines strapped around it and the sides.
Getting up he was in a spacious closed area, the walls were red colored logs packed tightly together with vines and the floor was the same. All of it was curving in a circle and supported by a gigantic tree that was going straight through.
A strong sensation was shrouded over him, looking over his body, he felt it was different, not in strength, but something else that he couldn't put his finger on. He could feel a slight invisible static of energy throughout his body.
Looking at his newfound power through his stats, he wanted to channel it, but fought the urge as more pressing matters needed to be attended to. For instance he didn't know where he was, but did have an idea.
His sense of smell had changed, it was stronger for some reason. A familiar smell all around the area he was in continuously filled his nostrils. He knew it was the ape beast. He didn't even remember smelling it's scent, but now after his full awakening something inside him was changing.
He slowly began looking around more and moved very cautiously following the curving architecture of the home. Walking into a curving hallway, he scanned the area using oversee discovering everything around him was craftable.
"Helloooo, big guy, are you here." He called out looking around a few corners.
Walking to an area of the wall that was cut out like a window he stuck his head out and snapped it back in like a turtle going in its shell.
"You've gotta be kidding me."
Looking back out slowly he gulped as his stomach began feeling sick. He couldn't see the ground, he was too high up. He thought about it for a few seconds, running things through his head. It was obvious before , but now he had zero doubts about being in the home of the ape beast. It only made sense, it was a monkey, a rather large one, and a giant house, high up in the trees was logical for a beast of that nature.
"Oculus."
A tingling energy sparked in his eyes, he could feel it manipulating his sight as his view zoomed in and out. In awe of his new skill he looked back out the window and still was unable to see the ground which frightened him even more. He was looking at the giant trees all around when a low, long grumble of somekind entered his ears.
"Puuuuuuuur, Grrrrrrrrrrr."
Ducking his head back inside, he slowly turned around. Standing behind him was a large cat beast glaring at him with orange burning eyes. It's black fur had streaks of orange with small and large blue leopard patterns, and it's black sharp claws ejected out as it got into a low on guard stance while growling making him flinch. It's fiery orange eyes stared at him with negative intent.
"Calm down girl, i won't hurt you so please don't hurt me. I'm not a threat." He said with his hands out backing up slowly.
The beast roared while taking a step forward, with a ready to pounce posture.
"Hold it, Ok you're not a girl. A boy maybe." He spoke nervously while moving back further until he hit something incredibly hard and hairy.
Looking back, he was met with a mountain of brown hair that oddly smelled like flowers of somekind. Looking up, he found the ape beast looking down at him with eyes that burned fear into his soul, but only for a moment as the apes eyes relaxed.
"You, stronger, but still weak. Follow." It said with a strong, but low voice.
The beast spoke in a broken manner, not using complete sentences as it spoke.
Damon looked at the cat beast and back at the ape not completely understanding what the hell was going on. Having no other choice ,he followed the ape to a swinging bridge made from the same vines and red wood that was at the exit of the home.
They entered a different section of its living space and he immediately grabbed his nose as a rotting pungent odor slapped him in the face. His eyes began tearing up, it was so bad, he wanted to immediately throw up until a haunting thought came to his mind from what was in front of him.
Fear crawled up his back and his hands began to tremble at the sight of multiple dead hanging beasts. Immediately thinking the worse he turned around to run, but the cat beast was behind him the whole time watching him with set eyes.
Its head positioned down while it's eyes looked up at him. The cat was begining to feel more threatening than the ape.
"Ok, ok. This is not what it seems. If it wanted to hurt me it wouldn't have saved my life or brought me to it's home. I'm just overthinking, yea that's it, overthinking." He told himself before hearing the ape speak.
"Beast, friend. Kavia , kavia, Watching you, for me. Now look."
Damon was trying to get his nerves right but it was all just a little too much. He knew the beast helped him, but he was still afraid. The ape then pointed out a certain hanging beasts informing him they were sick.
It then pulled out seven beast cores and all of them had purple strands of light to them that moved like worms. When Damon pulled out the cores of the wolves, he didn't bother to inspect them as his mind was soely on killing them for good.
The ape explained many things dealing with the infected beasts and Damon did his best to understand and follow its words. The main thing it went over was how to kill them and that he was too weak.
From what he could gather, the infected beasts were very dangerous and the area they were in were full of them spreading throughout the planet like a plague infecting other beasts and nature.
They eventually went to another area and to Damons surprise it looked very homey. Large leaves were spread throughout on the floor stacked on top of eachother, Looking closely, there was something soft, but a little firm in between the leaves that were held tightly together with vines in the shape of a very large rectangle. It was a make shift leaf bed.
The cat beast ran out in front of Damon making him nearly piss his pants at the sudden burst of speed. It jumped up on the bed as the ape beast opened a large hatch door on the side of a wall.
For the first time since being on planet Sactus he felt a Sense of love and cutness as four cubs ran out jumping on the big cat.
"I raise good beasts. Good friends." It said pointing at the cubs.
One of the cubs that was solid orange with small specks of blue ran up to him growling and biting on his boots. Kaiva, ran up picking it up with her mouth and ran back to the leaf bed.
She looked at Damon with unnerving eyes and began licking all of her cubs one by one.
He didn't feel any type of way because he understood she didn't know him and was protecting her cubs.
"Do you have a name." He asked the ape beast feeling a bit more comfortable around it.
"I am Nuka."
"I am Damon, Thank you for helping me, but I must leave." He said slowly and pointing south.
"No, danger is coming. Must stay."
Damon took in a breath not knowing what to do, he had to get back with his group. He didn't know for sure when, but he knew help was on its way and he needed to be with Calvus and Fang when they arrived.
He tried to explain to Nuka he had to leave because of his friends, but Nuka wouldn't allow him. This went on for around thirty minutes and he eventually gave up not wanting to make the ape angry with him.
Looking at his wrist he realized his coms device was gone. He cursed himself while thinking he must have lost it during the battle with the wolves.
He mentally scrolled through the system and saw a ton of new tabs. Also a new set of daily tasks. He didn't think it was the right time to explore his new options, so he decided to look at them later.

His eyes glowed with excitement seeing lightning control as he was itching to try out his new affinity.
