Chapter 74 - Damons story

His mind began settling some time later, but he was still troubled. Wiping away the tears he eventually got himself together. He threw everything including the cloak into his storage while getting up grabbing the door handle.

Entering the room, the first thing he saw was many people running or walking fast in a straight line. Everyone there were in lab coats and clean white uniforms with purple writing on the shoulders.

Seeing two people with completely different attire sticking out like a sore thumb, he called out to them.

Calvus turned, and upon seeing him a bright smile crawled on his face.

"Dude, you made it. "

They hugged eachother for second as Fang walked over with his hands in his pockets and all smiles, even though his face couldn't be seen. Damon could tell he was smiling.

"Welcome back, it seems you've brought a friend with you."

"Oh man, I didn't even see that thing, it's some type of tiger cub right ?

"Actually, a panther."

"Where did you, wait, how ?

"Heyyy, you three, let's go now, get strapped in, where taking off in thirty seconds."

They rushed in line entering a large room with over sixty seats attached to the walls. Thirty on each side. A large window panel was on the floor and they could see the ground below. Buckling in, Calvus couldn't keep his excitement down as he was very happy to see Damon and kept talking.

"Man you look rough, It looks like you got into a fight with a pack of wolves or something."

Damon leaned his head back exhaling.

"You have no idea."

"Calvus, let him relax a bit, I'm sure he will fill us in later. We still haven't made off this Rock it seems."

"But dude, you gotta tell us everything cause at some point we for sure thought you was.....ya know." He said motioning a throat slit.

"Believe me, I thought I was too." Damon replied with a light chuckle.

The countdown reached zero, the ships speed increased bursting up making them all squeeze their seatbelts tight. The vibrations of explosions were felt all around them. As they reached higher altitude they could see huge mushroom clouds of broiling dark smoke and fire that surfed the ground spreading like a massive wave.

Damons eyes became watery without him knowing while watching explosion after explosion. Nuka's beautiful white fur came to his mind. Kaiva's smooth and resilient battle tactics and caring ways also.

He thanked them both for saving his life and showing him a great time even though it was short lived.

Looking back at his time on the planet he realized he almost did absolutely nothing to achieve his new abilities. From the beginning it was the help of Calvus and Fang that got him the exp he needed.

Then, the luck of killing the spiders that fell off the cliff. Last ,but not least. Nuka's help with the wolves that shot his level and exp way up. All of his exp were basically free kills that he didn't think he deserved.

He felt crazy for thinking about it in that nature and at a time like this, but he was just being honest with himself. He needed to work harder to be able to handle situations himself. He thought about how foolish he was for believing he could handle everything like it was a game.

He couldn't take pride into his progress, not yet. Not until he felt he deserved it. Holding the cub tight he vowed to never take life for granted and to grow stronger through hard work and not just luck.

They entered space as the final explosions were detonated in sequence.

Booooooooooom!

A quarter of the planet lit up as massive chunks of land separated floating into orbit.

"Hope everyone enjoyed the show. " A unfamiliar voice spoke as he pressed a button. Sliding slabs of articulate metal covered the see through panel in the launch rooms.

"Next stop, planet Syair. It's safe to leave your seats now. "

Getting up they went back to the massive break room that had two levels. Damon waisted no time as he went straight to the lunch bar that had a variety of food. Following him was Calvus and Fang, they hadn't ate since getting on the ship.

"Sir, unregistered beasts are not allowed on deck. They must be stored in the beast cargo area. I must ask you to hand over the beast for the time being." A big man with brown hair spoke holding a mechanical canon of some kind to his chest.

Damon looked at him up and down while thinking no way in hell was he going to let him take the cub.

"I won't tell you again boy."

The man reached for the cub and before Damon realized it electricity sparked in his eyes as he grabbed the man's wrist firmly sending a small charge throughout his body.

"Ahhhhhh." He screamed in pain as the shock crackled all over him.

Within seconds more guards stepped in pointing hand held cannons at Damon instructing him to stop as alarms ringed out.

Calvus and Fang jumped back as the electricity crawled on the floor while looking at him in disbelief. Seeing he was surrounded he came to his senses, letting the man go.

The man shook it off grinding his teeth. He pointed the canon at Damons head and it began to charge a red light.

"Enough, Mr. Blade. Master Bell would like to see you, follow me, now." Spoke Cason walking in and turning around heading for a huge white double door with large Golden handles shaped into a crescent moon.

The guards put their weapons down, the same guard pushed Damon forward while staring at him like he wanted to kill him without a second thought.

"Little brat."

Damon looked back with a crackling eyes, mean mugging the guard, but continued to walk forward.

"Dude, did you see that."

"Of course, it was kinda hard to miss. It seems we aren't the only ones that got stronger."

"Yea, you can say that again."

Following Cason, they entered a room with a few monitors on the wall and a large desk stationed at the center.

"Have a seat, Master Bell with be with you shortly."

Damon plopped down in a seat cursing himself. A few minutes later a book shelf off to the side swung open, entering was Mr. Bell who waisted no time asking Damon tell him his experience on planet Sactus as he took a seat behind the large desk. He made it clear to Damon, not leave out any details.

Two hours passed, Damon had shared everything pertaining to the planet, but not himself. He even told him about his experience with Nuka and why the fox beast called Kane was after him.

"So, what can you tell me about these so called infected beasts."

"Nothing, besides they are incredibly difficult to kill and have regenerating powers. The only way they can die is by separating their head from their bodies and removing they're core. Kane was the one infecting everyone and everything with some kind of ancient power they found many years ago. "

Mr. Bell sighed.

"Did Kane ever mention a woman called Ellsinda."

"No."

Damon then Informed him about Arabi and his abilities along with the beasts becoming organized and creating their own civilization.

Mr. Bell stood from his seat slowly taking off his glasses rubbing his eyes. He took in a deep breath a few times while shaking his head. It was clear to Damon he was frustrated.

"An ability to see long term future events, how can that be possible. Did he prove his ability to you in any way?.

"No."

"Well, in a sense I guess.... unlike most beasts that could speak, he's the only one that wasn't surprised by my looks while others referred to me as a creature they never saw before."

"He also seemed very intelligent and knowledgeable."

Thinking about the two concealment cloaks, Damon slowly realized they were meant for him and Nexas from the very beginning. Nuka had given him her cloak way before the initial attack on her home.

Recalling a few events including Nuka popping up while he was facing off against the wolves. He was starting to believe they knew what was going to happen all along.

He told Mr. Bell of his thoughts while taking out a concealment cloak further explaining his assumption. He felt it was a bad move, thinking it would probably be taken from him, but luckily that wasn't the case.

"They went through great trouble to keep you safe and alive. If what you say is true, they knew you were going to be rescued. They knew their world would be partialy destroyed. So my question is why, why didn't they warn their people, why didn't they prepare a defense, why side with a human?."

"Well, he wasn't sure how I fit into his visions. The main reason they helped me was for me to deliver a message."

Mr. Bell's eyes focused as his head tilted slightly.

"A message to who?. "

"To planet Syair, and every other planet and race. The sickness will reach our world, as it will with many others. I wasn't told a specific time, but just that it will happen."

Mr. Bell sat there in deep thought for over a minute before he told Damon he could leave.

"Oh, Mr. Blade, I understand your reasoning for being so protective about that beast after hearing your story, but this is my ship. Rules are rules, my people were doing their job. I don't like disturbances that can be avoided."

"That beast will go in the beast cargo bay and will be given plenty food and water. I will see to that personally, is that clear?."

Damon looked at him and then the cub rubbing its coat gently.

"Yes, Mr. Bell. Sorry."

"Oh, Do you know what a fiend is?." Asked Damon.

"It's a Demon, something I didn't know existed until recently. Why?. "

"Nothing, it was just something Kane said once." Damon responded.

After Damon left, Cason walked in, Mr. Bell pressed a few buttons on a remote turning on a monitor that replayed the footage of Damons interaction with his guard.

"I've never seen someone with such abilities, something tells me he will be of great use. The fact he entered that world weak as ever, but returned stronger with a entire new element to his original ability is madness. "

"Contact the beast master and arrange some paperwork." Mr. Bell said to Cason.

"Yes master."

"Oh, Master Bell. I'm sorry our efforts failed."

"That'll be all Cason." Bell said ignoring his words.

He took out a blue and pink core holding it gently in his arms and began to whisper.

"I haven't given up, Olivia."

Hours later, when port Bell ship was completely gone. Humongous chain like vines formed from each chunk of land that was slowly moving away from the largest piece of planet sactus. Like whips, the purple coated vines attached themselves back to the broken planet.

A massive light brew from the depths of the nearly destroyed planet revealing a core the size of a small star. The planet itself came alive, pulling the broken pieces closer merging them back together.

Standing within a canyon carved civilization was the woman called Ellsinda. She watched the massive ladmass and pieces return by the pulling of the planet power itself with a smile. Like multiple earthquakes, the sound of land colliding with more land echoed throughout as they reattached.

"Fool, this planet is no longer normal. Its part of us now, it lives like us, so it can only die like us." She shouted to the sky as if Mr. Bell could hear her.
