5:00 A.M.
The first rays of sunlight had yet to touch the towering skyline of Rosewood, New York.
Inside Steel Memorial Hospital, the halls were already alive with the faint scent of disinfectant, the soft squeak of trolley wheels, and the hurried footsteps of nurses changing shifts.
At the end of the spotless corridor, a young woman slowly pushed a mop across the polished floor.
Her name was Celina Bakers.
At twenty-one, she wasn't a doctor or a nurse. She wasn't someone patients noticed.
She was one of the cleaners who made sure the hospital sparkled before the day truly began.
She wore a simple blue uniform, her dark hair tied neatly into a ponytail. Despite the long hours and the modest paycheck, she greeted everyone with a warm smile.
"Good morning, Mrs. Harris," Celina said cheerfully as she held the elevator door open for an elderly patient.
"Thank you, dear," the old woman replied with a grateful smile.
Celina watched the elevator doors close before returning to her work.
Most people believed she was just cleaning floors.
But every sweep of her mop carried a dream.
One day...
She would own the most welcoming restaurant in Rosewood.
A place where every meal reminded people of home.
A place her late mother would have been proud of.
She smiled to herself.
"Just keep going, Celina. One shift at a time."
She had no idea that before the day ended...
