After talking a bit more with the Black Dragon, I came to the conclusion that conquering the dungeon might be more difficult than I initially expected. I know a lot about the dungeon's monsters, since my memory is perfect.
Everything I've stored in my memories is very clear.
Honestly, I don't remember there being monsters that strong inside the dungeon. Of course, there are powerful monsters, but they're ones I could defeat without much trouble with my current strength and abilities.
But the way the Black Dragon described it, it sounds like my abilities aren't even close to being enough.
'And I have to trust him. He said he can sense the presence of powerful monsters, while I can't sense anything.'
I need a detection skill or something like that. I have plenty of skills to choose from, even special ones. I wonder if God will be kind enough to give me something like that.
I opened my status, and I had four special skills to choose from.
First, the initial skills.
Two of them didn't catch my attention, but one of them did.
[Focus LV1]
A skill that further enhances my focus during battle. Since my perception is already very high, I can sense any danger from meters—maybe even kilometers—away. But the system made it clear that this would further improve my close-combat and sword-fighting abilities.
So I chose that skill.
The other skill I chose was [Rot LV1].
A skill that slowly rots the body of anyone I touch. The effects grow stronger as the skill levels up. It's a powerful skill, but not very useful for me.
I don't usually rely on magic or abilities like that. I prefer using my sword and cutting down everything in my path.
Although, to be fair, I don't have many magical abilities.
My only element is darkness.
'But to be honest, the "Rot" skill might still be useful. I think I might be overestimating my sword skills.'
My Swordsmanship skill is at level 10, but I don't know if I'm actually as skilled as Ais, for example.
I've seen her fight in person a few times before, and she seemed better than me.
Then again, it's been a long time since I last saw her fight. My Swordsmanship skill wasn't nearly as high back then.
Now, for another special skill I chose:
[Hellfire LV1]
[Produces powerful flames straight from hell. A fire capable of turning even a dragon's bones into ashes.]
That description… shouldn't this be a level-less skill, like "Eye of Truth EX"? It sounds incredibly powerful!
Well, maybe the higher the level, the more flames I can create.
This is definitely a very useful magical ability that I'll be using a lot in the future.
"Now this is my last chance to get a high-level detection skill. Please, God."
I clasped my hands together and prayed to the sky, asking the God of Gacha to bless me.
After a few seconds of praying, I let out a sigh, and three skills appeared before me.
When I saw the one in the center, a wide smile spread across my face.

The other two skills weren't that impressive. One was called [Contact], which allowed me to communicate with someone even if they were very far away. But for me, it's kind of useless since I can just teleport to them.
The other skill was [Confusion], which causes confusion in both monsters and humans. It's useful in the middle of battle, but compared to the last skill, it's pointless.
Because this is the one I wanted!

Reading the description of the skill, I was surprised. What do you mean detect anything? Does that mean I can detect magic, presences, and so on? That's even better than I expected.
However, it starts at level 1. It's not that special yet.
I'll need to use it many times to level it up.
After seeing the skill in my status, I smiled.
Seconds later, I activated it to see how it worked. As soon as I did, I started seeing things I shouldn't be able to see. Blue patches appeared everywhere around me.

I looked at my own hands and noticed something golden coming out of my skin.

Two things appeared. So this is the aura I unconsciously emit… could this be because of the "Charming Aura" skill? Probably not. My soul is likely special since it came from another world.
Freya can see my soul—maybe she noticed something special about me. Should I ask her about it later?
I walked to the window and looked outside.
Magic was everywhere.
[The "Detection" skill has leveled up!]
Just like that, the skill leveled up.
Nothing changed in my vision, but I felt like I could detect things from farther away.
I closed my eyes and focused. I could see where every magical particle was, and I could also sense the aura of anyone within meters—some stronger, some weaker.
Unlike adventurers, ordinary humans barely had any aura at all.
I closed my eyes and deactivated the "Detection" skill.
After letting out a long sigh, I heard someone opening the door. It was Mikoto, carrying a tray with teacups.
"I brought you some tea."
"How did you know I was here?"
"I heard your voice. Were you busy?"
"No, I wasn't. I was just preparing to go to the dungeon—I'll start exploring soon."
