Chapter 253 - Chapter : 249 : Advancing By Leaps And Bounds

In the valley.

"Come again!" Compared to yesterday, Sesshomaru, who was originally calm, was now a little weary after fighting with Inuyasha all night. At this moment, several wounds were clearly visible on his body, with one hand leaning on his blade.

Sesshomaru looked at Inuyasha with a hint of doubt in his eyes. He had initially thought he could rid himself of Inuyasha in a short time, but the strange spell used by Inuyasha was quite powerful. He had never seen such a spell before, so he didn't know how to counter it. Relying on technique, Inuyasha blocked his attacks countless times, and he hardly gained the upper hand in close combat.

Gradually, the battle between them had become a stalemate; neither could pose a decisive threat to the other.

On the way here, Sesshomaru had heard that Sebastian possessed a unique ability. After seeing the tricks Inuyasha employed, he immediately realized that these spells were probably learned from Sebastian. Sesshomaru recognized that, given his own strength, there was no guarantee he could defeat Sebastian. Inuyasha had only been here for a short period, yet the skills passed on to him had allowed him to keep pace with Sesshomaru's own abilities.

Sesshomaru glanced around and saw Sebastian standing beside a large nearby tree. Although Sebastian's arrival had been expected, he was still momentarily stunned when the other finally appeared.

Now, the battle between Sesshomaru and Inuyasha had reached a critical point; even the slightest disturbance could break this delicate balance in an instant. If the spectators intervened, Sesshomaru would surely lose.

Of course, Sesshomaru was fully aware of this, so he could only decide to act quickly. With a loud shout, he charged toward Inuyasha.

Seeing Sesshomaru rushing at him, Inuyasha no longer held back. While performing his spell, he used it to speed up his movements and further enhanced his attributes to strengthen his abilities.

Their attacks collided in midair, triggering a massive shockwave. The force radiated outward in all directions, tearing apart the clouds in the sky. The surrounding air split apart, and even the dense mist filled with it was torn asunder in an instant. Many trees were abruptly shattered, as if they were thin, dry firewood.

The violent explosion also caused Inuyasha and Sesshomaru to be thrown in opposite directions. However, due to the significant power gap between them, Inuyasha was unable to resist the injuries from the blast and was the first to be flung away, finally stopping after smashing through several trees.

"Still didn't fully penetrate his defenses?" Compared to Inuyasha, Sesshomaru's situation was not much better. He was thrown heavily to the ground, creating a large crater. A trace of blood spilled from the corner of his mouth, and his clean clothes were covered with dust. His body also appeared pale.

Seeing Inuyasha still enveloped in a faint wind blade, Sesshomaru frowned. He had fought Inuyasha all night, and now, he was furious. Despite Inuyasha's serious injuries, he still retained enough strength to fight. Sesshomaru was certain that, if not for his own technique, he could have easily defeated Inuyasha.

Having completely exhausted his strength, Sesshomaru's eyes involuntarily revealed a trace of unwillingness. He refused to accept that he could not defeat his younger brother, whom he had always underestimated.

"Can't stand up anymore?" After several attempts, Sesshomaru found himself unable to rise from the ground. He looked over at the large tree beside him. At this moment, Sebastian stood with his arms crossed, his face showing hardly any expression.

Sesshomaru sighed slightly. "It looks like I'm going to be caught by that guy!"

His right hand clenched into a fist, and a crackling sound emanated from his joints.

"Master Sesshomaru!" Jaken was also stunned; he couldn't imagine that Sesshomaru, who had won countless wars, would be defeated. He wanted to go to his master's aid but knew that any attempt would probably end with his own death.

On the big tree.

"Sensei, do you want us to act now?" Seeing the chaotic woods and the destroyed city after the battle between Inuyasha and Sesshomaru, Miroku and Miyatsu exchanged surprised glances. After a few seconds of stunned silence, they regained their senses.

Miroku looked at Sebastian and asked, "That person seems to have a lot of hostility toward you."

"Detain him and send him to..." The battle had ended too abruptly. Sebastian felt a bit bored and yawned uncontrollably.

He glanced at Sesshomaru, noticing the hostility radiating from him. However, Sebastian was unfazed. Since Sesshomaru had brought the Tenseiga to his doorstep, he would not let it go easily.

Tenseiga was originally a healing blade that could not kill in this world. It could resurrect the dead by beheading messengers of the underworld. When activated with true compassion, a single swing of the blade could save hundreds of lives.

Faced with such a treasure capable of restoring life, Sebastian was eager to obtain it. Moreover, Sesshomaru, a pure-blooded yōkai, held significant research value.

Seeing Sesshomaru collapse to the ground, Jaken was stunned. He had envisioned many outcomes, but he hadn't anticipated the current situation. Although he had been worried that Sebastian might harm Sesshomaru when questioned about his whereabouts, he had kept silent.

In his mind, he had believed Sesshomaru wouldn't lose to Sebastian. But now, with Inuyasha's rapid growth, it had become difficult for Sesshomaru to cope, especially with Miroku and Miyatsu not intervening.
