In the original story, Vegeta's elimination of Nappa was regrettable and one of the reasons for his eventual defeat.
However, the current Vegeta had different plans. Although Nappa no longer had any impact on the outcome, Vegeta intended to fully subdue him and change his nature.
As time ticked by, outside, Tien Shinhan and Krillin believed that their recent attack had wiped out Vegeta and his allies, and they were filled with joy.
Aside from Krillin and the others, Bulma and Mr. Satan, who were watching the live broadcast, were also excited, believing the threat was over and Earth was safe.
The death of Yamcha was temporarily forgotten, mainly because everyone knew that the Dragon Balls could bring him back if needed.
Not everyone, however, was immersed in joy. Piccolo remained serious. Having battled Raditz intensely, he knew how formidable the Saiyans were. He didn't believe that Krillin's attack would be enough to defeat Vegeta and his team.
Piccolo's intuition was correct. His sensing of their energy showed no sign of weakening.
Master Roshi, though not present, was also worried. His combat experience and keen perception far surpassed many of the Dragon Ball warriors.
Seeing Vegeta and Nappa's indifferent expressions, he knew the situation wasn't as simple as it seemed.
"Don't get too excited. Prepare yourselves for the real fight ahead," Piccolo's cold voice cut through the smoke.
"What?" Tien Shinhan and Krillin were momentarily confused by Piccolo's sudden words.
"Let's hope your so-called 'battle' actually happens," Vegeta responded calmly.
With a wave of his hand, Vegeta summoned a gust of wind that quickly cleared the smoke, revealing himself and Nappa unharmed.
"How is this possible?" The sight of Vegeta and Nappa barely affected by Krillin's full-force attack left everyone stunned and disbelieving.
"It seems it's time to end this fight," Vegeta said nonchalantly to Piccolo and the others.
"Finally, the real battle begins!" Nappa seemed eager to start, his excitement palpable.
Tien Shinhan's face twisted in anger. "How could they be completely unscathed? They were hit directly!"
Krillin was in disbelief. "My energy blast had no effect at all!"
"Now it's my turn. I'll finish all of you in one go," Nappa declared, relishing the opportunity.
Vegeta made no move to stop him but simply said, "Do as you wish, but remember… they can't be killed yet."
Nappa, acknowledging the rule, eagerly prepared to strike.
"Let's have some fun first. You're up," Nappa said, choosing Krillin as his first target.
As Krillin trembled in fear, Piccolo stepped in front of him. "Leave this to me!"
Piccolo fired a powerful energy wave at Nappa, but despite his seemingly clumsy appearance, Nappa's agility far exceeded expectations. He dodged Piccolo's attack with ease, sending the energy wave crashing into a distant mountain.
Piccolo was momentarily stunned by Nappa's speed, and in that second of hesitation, Nappa exploited the opening. With a burst of speed, Nappa appeared behind Piccolo and then beside him, delivering a powerful kick to Piccolo's abdomen.
Piccolo was sent flying, writhing in pain from the brutal strike.
"Uncle Piccolo!" The sight of Piccolo being thrown back shocked everyone, and Gohan cried out in concern.
Nappa, somewhat impressed by Piccolo's ability to keep up despite the power gap, continued his rampage. His energy burst forth uncontrollably, creating a terrifying aura that shook the air and earth, causing rocks to levitate and the ground to crack.
As the surrounding area was torn apart by Nappa's immense power, everyone's expressions turned grave. The only one seemingly unaffected was Vegeta.
