Chapter 74 - Chapter 75: Stardew Valley, Where Izuna Fell

Konan had an innocent personality; the young girl didn't have as many thoughts as Yahiko yet.

Watching Jiraiya dodge the Stardew ValleyNinjas, she asked directly.

Jiraiya didn't mind and answered cheerfully, "It's not that I'm hiding. It's just that this place is considered the private property of the Uchiha Clan. If I, a teacher, appear here, it's easy for them to misunderstand and think that the Village is monitoring them."

Yahiko was more mature, and he immediately understood what Jiraiya meant.

"Jiraiya-sensei, recently at the Ninja Academy in Stardew Valley, they have been teaching the history of the Ninja World. Is it true that the Uchiha Clan in Konoha isn't doing too well?"

Jiraiya's expression remained unchanged, but in his heart, he began to suspect. Were the Uchiha Ninjas brainwashing these war orphans with some particularly malicious rhetoric?

He suspected that these Uchiha Ninjas, when teaching the orphans, were deliberately guiding them to make the orphans hostile toward Konoha.

"Why do you say that?" Jiraiya asked, probing indirectly, "Did the teacher mention something while explaining the history of the Ninja World?"

Yahiko shook his head, "It was the teacher at the Ninja Academy; they were talking about the First Hokage and the Second Hokage of Konoha."

Jiraiya's heart tightened.

He was a direct disciple of the Third Hokage, so naturally, he knew very well about the various "questionable maneuvers" of his "grandmaster, Senju Tobirama."

Grandmaster Senju Tobirama was an ultimate ruthless man who had personally slain Uchiha Madara's own brother, restricted the development of the Uchiha Clan with harsh policies, and developed numerous secret techniques to counter the Uchiha.

In this Stardew Valley, the Uchiha Ninjas certainly wouldn't give Tobirama a very fair evaluation.

When the Uchiha talked about the Second Hokage, Tobirama, it was impossible for them to have anything good to say.

Jiraiya probed slightly, "At school, how did the teacher evaluate Tobirama?"

Yahiko imitated the teacher's tone and repeated in detail, "The teacher said that the Second Hokage, Senju Tobirama, was the true founder of Konoha. He had an even greater influence on Konoha than the First Hokage, Senju Hashirama.

He established the basic systems of Konoha and the cooperative framework for the Ninja clans, and vigorously developed Konoha's economy. He was the true creator of the KonohaNinja Academy teaching system, the Konoha medical system, the Konoha commercial system, and the KonohaAnbu system.

Even the Konoha Military Police Force supervision system for the Uchiha Clan originated from the planning of the Second Hokage, Senju Tobirama."

Jiraiya was greatly shocked!

He looked at the three children carefully; it was obvious that Yahiko was imitating the teacher's tone. The children were not deceiving him, their savior.

"But? These evaluations of Tobirama by the Uchiha are too high. Clearly, Tobirama often harbored hostility toward the Uchiha Clan."

In his heart, Jiraiya even felt some admiration for the breadth of mind of these Uchiha ClanNinjas.

To be able to objectively and fairly evaluate a Hokage who had long been hostile toward the Uchiha—such Ninja character could be called noble.

Jiraiya nodded in agreement, "The Ninja Academy teacher in Stardew Valley gives Tobirama a very high evaluation."

Yahiko was happy with Jiraiya's agreement and continued, "Finally, the school teacher also recounted the Second Hokage, Tobirama's own evaluation of the Uchiha Clan."

Jiraiya was surprised, "Oh? How did Tobirama evaluate the Uchiha?"

Yahiko said: "The Second Hokage, Senju Tobirama, once personally evaluated that the Uchiha Clan is the clan with the most love in the Ninja World, but when they lose that love, it transforms into the power of their eyes. The source of the power of the Eyes Reflecting the Heart is the most intense emotion!"

Hearing this, Jiraiya's brain short-circuited for a moment.

He seemed to have heard this kind of statement from his teacher, Hiruzen Sarutobi.

This was indeed the evaluation style of Tobirama.

But if you follow the logic of this evaluation, the Uchiha Clan in Konoha had indeed suffered all kinds of grievances.

Tobirama knew clearly that the Uchiha were the clan with the most love, yet he suppressed the Uchiha everywhere, making the Uchiha completely unable to feel "love" in the Village.

Even Tobirama's catchphrase seemed to include the term "Evil Uchiha."

And after the Third Hokage succeeded him, the entire evaluation of Tobirama in Konoha was reduced to just a few sparse sentences: "He was the previous Hokage, and he died unexpectedly in the end."

This was an evaluation as simple as it could possibly be.

Even in Konoha, the current propaganda direction was to proclaim the Third Hokage as the "Strongest Hokage in History."

One knows one's own affairs best.

Jiraiya was extremely familiar with his teacher, Hiruzen Sarutobi. Jiraiya had read quite a few of the Second Hokage's secret technique scrolls and Ninja learning materials that Hiruzen Sarutobi had preserved.

From the brilliant notes of the Second Hokage to the various imaginative secret techniques, Jiraiya had to admit, "Although Hiruzen is powerful, he has only inherited a tiny bit of this grandmaster's legacy. The strength of Senju Tobirama is far from what current Ninjas can compare to."

In Konoha's public propaganda, the Second Hokage who "carried on the past and opened up the future" was completely downplayed, and his contributions to the Village were diluted. In this regard, the breadth of mind of Konoha's higher-ups was far inferior to the Uchiha's character.

By comparison, although the Uchiha Clan had been discriminated against by the Village, they truly revealed kindness in their bones.

When teaching war orphans the history of the Ninja World, they still gave every Hokage a very fair and pertinent historical evaluation.

Jiraiya murmured softly, "The clan with the most love, huh?"

He suddenly remembered his two companions, Orochimaru and Tsunade, who had extremely high opinions of Uchiha Fucheng.

Far away from Stardew Valley, in Black Zetsu's underground base, Uchiha Madara, who was trapped guarding the Ten-Tails' husk, also learned the news that White Zetsu's kidnapping of Nagato and the sneak attack had failed.

And Stardew Valley, this inconspicuous little place on the map, awakened Uchiha Madara's softest memories.

"Is this the place where Izuna fell in battle?"

Uchiha Madara gently touched the map.

It didn't take long from the time White Zetsu escaped from Jiraiya's hands to when Black Zetsu and Uchiha Madara received the news.

But how to handle Nagato, how to handle the Uchiha Clan's adoption, and how to handle Nagato becoming Jiraiya's student became the most troublesome issues for Black Zetsu.

Black Zetsu personally went to Stardew Valley to investigate, and under the cover of White Zetsu's Mayfly Technique, observed Jiraiya up close for several days.

He clearly saw Jiraiya teaching Nagato and the other two various types of Ninjutsu and secret techniques.

Black Zetsu muttered to himself, "Perhaps raising Nagato in Konoha is also a good idea."

He thought again of his own anxiety after Nagato went missing.

Now Black Zetsu actually felt that instead of making a big fuss to snatch Nagato from Jiraiya's hands, it would be better to raise Nagato in this remote Village of Stardew Valley.

Perhaps this exceptionally hidden Konoha farm was much better than the Land of Rain, a country plagued by frequent wars.

After all, Black Zetsu did not want the "frequently war-torn Land of Rain" to affect Nagato's Rinnegan again.

This painful experience of searching the whole world for someone had already been enough for Black Zetsu.

If Nagato went missing from the Ninja World again, he, Black Zetsu, would be the first to go crazy.

Uchiha Madara actually approved of Black Zetsu's suggestion, especially since Stardew Valley reminded Uchiha Madara of every little detail about Izuna.

Whether it was Izuna being severely wounded by the Flying Thunder God, or his younger brother removing his eyes to fuse them into him.

"Izuna, then let your eyes and my eyes slowly grow in that place from the past—"

Jiraiya didn't realize that he had almost encountered an ambush by Uchiha Madara.

Instead, he was immersed in the joy of having found the "Child of Prophecy."

During the days of teaching the "Child of Prophecy," Uchiha Fucheng and his party hid their tracks and secretly returned to Konoha.
