Night had already fallen, and the three of them were filled with tension and fear.
They could clearly hear thousands of spiders crawling through the tree's tunnels. They could feel it too.
The ground above them kept shaking violently without stopping.
There was something else they sensed as well…
Spiders were moving outside the room, just beyond the weak protection of the ice wall.
That realization made their hearts tighten with anxiety.
For a moment they feared their earlier guess had been completely wrong.
But after some time they relaxed slightly when the spiders outside the room finally stopped moving.
After nearly two more hours, the movement above them stopped as well.
That meant all the spiders had entered the tunnels… and fallen asleep.
During all that time, the three of them were extremely careful not to make even the smallest sound.
