Chapter 73 - Chapter 73: Pokémon Evolution Methods

"Heath, were you stopped by a robbery? Let big sis take a look. Heath, your first time is supposed to be with me," Jana rushed over, looking worried, while making a very suggestive gesture with her hands.

Heath stared at Jana expressionlessly. This woman was something else. Even with the road blocked like this, her first reaction was to crack a dirty joke. No wonder her reputation among the other Jennys was "a woman who has integrated dirty jokes into her soul."

Heh, what an interesting woman.

"Sis Jana, with so many rocks, when will we be done moving them?" Heath sighed as he looked at the rocks, closing the car door to prevent Jana from barging in.

Zorua lay on Heath's head, staring resentfully at Jana, continually warning Heath in his mind to be cautious of her and not let her take advantage of him.

"This isn't much. It'll only take a while. I called some Machop and Machoke from the driving school." Jana waved her hand nonchalantly, and Heath saw a group of muscular Pokémon on the other side of the road.

Seeing the well-built and somewhat intimidating Machop and Machoke, Heath took a deep breath. With their help, there shouldn't be any problem.

After all, these Pokémon were incredibly strong, and very few humans could match their strength.

"Sis Jana, wait a moment. I'll make something for them to eat since they're helping us out," Heath said with a smile and went into the food truck.

Jana, about to say something, paused, then laughed. She happily patted the food truck door before turning and energetically joining in the effort.

Heath planned to make a fitness meal for the Machop and Machoke. For these Pokémon that liked to build muscle, a fitness meal would probably be their favorite food.

Fitness meals, despite sounding unique, are actually not that complicated to make. They are characterized by being low-fat and high-protein, with quality protein being the primary choice.

Heath had some nice chicken breast, perfect for this purpose. A salad with grilled chicken breast in olive oil wasn't hard to prepare, and soon Heath had made several portions.

Peeking outside, Heath saw that the rocks had all been cleared, surprising him. The Machop and Machoke's strength was truly impressive.

However, what surprised Heath the most was a large boulder surrounded by several Machop.

"Sis Jana, what are the Machop doing?" Heath asked curiously, mentally counting the number of Pokémon and feeling relieved that he had prepared enough food.

"They're taking turns lifting that boulder. It's said to be a method for Machop to evolve by challenging their physical limits and becoming stronger Machoke." Jana stood by with her arms crossed, her hands dusty, indicating she had helped too.

Heath realized why none of the Machoke had helped; this was the Machop's method of evolving.

In reality, Pokémon evolution was different from the games. Pokémon that required trade to evolve in the games didn't need trading in this world, but their evolution methods were quite unique.

"Heath, do you want to challenge yourself? Big sis can help you become a better adult," Jana teased, leaning against the window and smiling at Heath.

"No way, Sis Jana. This food is for the Machop and Machoke. Please help distribute it," Heath quickly responded, bringing out the prepared fitness meals, each containing three pieces of chicken breast and some salad.

"Wow, so much! Heath, you really have lots of energy," Jana said with a meaningful look, glancing at the white dressing on the salad.

Heath rolled his eyes, then saw a bright light flash before him. Astonished, he watched as a light surrounded a large boulder, constantly flickering.

"Evolution light!" Heath exclaimed, seeing the light, realizing that a Machop had managed to evolve by lifting the boulder.

Witnessing this beautiful scene, Heath felt a surge of emotion. The light of evolution was a wondrous miracle of life in the Pokémon world, a sign of the world's love for Pokémon.

Through evolution, a Pokémon's strength and form change, becoming more powerful. Some Pokémon even gain different attributes upon evolving.

As the white light faded, a stronger Machoke appeared, excitedly swinging its fists before smashing the nearby boulder with a punch.

"Isn't it touching? This is evolution," Jana smiled, watching the excited Machoke and the envious Machop who had tried but not succeeded in evolving.

"Yes," Heath agreed, glancing at his Pokémon. Farfetch'd had no chance of evolving, only the Galarian form could evolve into Sirfetch'd.

However, Zorua still had hope; she could evolve into the stronger and unique Zoroark. Charmander could also evolve into Charizard.

Thinking of Charmander, Heath couldn't help but recall the Charizard whose life force had been drained.

Jana, when on the job, was reliable. She distributed the food to each helping Pokémon, totaling eighteen. Heath's ingredients were just enough, with five or six pieces of chicken breast left. Time to restock.

[You have served fifteen Machop and three Machoke, and you have received twenty-one cans of protein powder.]

The notification startled Heath, pleasantly surprised by the protein powder.

"But I have no use for these," Heath thought, looking at the protein powder in his cupboard. He couldn't start offering a fitness meal on his menu.

"Never mind, I'll just keep them," Heath shrugged, closing the cupboard and continuing to drive his food truck to the driving school. He still hadn't finished his first lesson of the day.
