Charmander, a well-known starter Pokémon from the Kanto region, evolves into the powerful and cool-looking Charizard, making it a favorite among many trainers. However, there's a large number of people who criticize Charizard for looking like a dragon and having "dragon" in its name but being classified as a Flying-type instead of a Dragon-type.
Reportedly, when this topic went viral online, it received a like from someone claiming to be the famous Dragon Master, Lance. Although Lance quickly clarified that he hadn't liked the post, it didn't help much.
The company managing the Pokémon World social media clarified that Lance accidentally liked the post amidst the heated discussions and unliked it within five seconds.
It was an embarrassing moment, and someone even posted a photo suggesting that Lance had ridden his Charizard to the office of the "Porygon Network Company" to confront them.
Before this, Heath never imagined he would get a Charmander, especially one so well-bred, and he was quite pleased.
"Charmander, you see, muscle training usually starts with core strength. What's core strength? It refers to areas like the chest, back, and legs," Heath explained to Charmander while sitting in his food truck, sharing his limited knowledge of fitness.
After purchasing the necessary ingredients, Heath drove his food truck to his usual spot, waiting for customers. Since it was still early, Heath used the opportunity to talk to Charmander.
Charmander looked confused by Heath's explanations. Heath pulled out a workout tool he had seen at the gym from his toolbox and set up an apparatus suitable for Charmander's size inside the truck.
"Hey, hop on. Start with adding five-kilogram weights on each side. Relax your shoulders and use your chest muscles to push," Heath instructed patiently. Charmander struggled a bit, likely due to its injuries.
After Charmander completed a proper set, Heath explained the workout rules.
"If you want to build muscle, start with four sets of twenty reps each," Heath said. Charmander nodded earnestly and began pushing the apparatus with determination.
"Oh? Heath, are you teaching your Pokémon to train its chest muscles?" A familiar voice called out. Heath turned to see Mr. William, who appeared to have just finished his workout, looking curiously at Heath and Charmander.
"Yes, Mr. William. Charmander is quite interested in muscle training," Heath replied with a smile. Having Mr. William around meant Charmander had a qualified teacher.
Despite having visited the gym, Heath knew little about fitness concepts, especially regarding how to train a Pokémon's strength. His previous trainers never taught him how to train Pokémon.
"You're working on its core strength, right? It's impressive that you found equipment that fits its size," Mr. William noted, immediately recognizing Charmander's exercise.
Charmander finished its first set and looked curiously at the muscular man in front of it, admiring his large frame and muscles.
"Yes, I borrowed some equipment from Maple's place. She has plenty of training tools for Pokémon," Heath explained with a ready-made excuse.
Maple's dormitory area had various training tools suitable for Pokémon, so Mr. William accepted Heath's explanation with a knowing look.
"Charmander, it's rare for a Pokémon to be interested in muscle training. If it has the determination, I can create a custom workout plan for it. As long as it gets the right nutrition, I guarantee you'll have a muscular Charmander," Mr. William offered after some thought.
Heath was surprised and grateful. With Mr. William's help, Charmander's training would be more effective.
"Thank you so much, Mr. William. Let me make you a special fitness meal," Heath said cheerfully, opening the fridge. He wasn't knowledgeable about fitness, so leaving it to a professional was the best choice.
Heath prepared a meal for the enthusiastic Mr. William, showing his appreciation for the help. Mr. William waved it off and excitedly took Charmander outside to measure something, leaving Heath to cook.
Heath prepared Mr. William's breakfast while watching Charmander listen intently to the instructions. It was clear that Charmander really enjoyed fitness, reminding Heath of how it had trained enthusiastically that morning.
Heath glanced at his cabinet, contemplating selling all his protein powder to Mr. William due to its high price. Selling it all could help him save more money.
However, remembering how happy Charmander looked while training that morning, Heath decided against the idea.
"Forget it. I'll use it for Charmander's fitness. I wonder what it will look like in the future," Heath mused as he placed a freshly made pancake in a bag and glanced at Charmander.
Currently, Charmander was small and skinny, like any other Charmander. But Heath knew that with the right equipment, expert guidance, and protein powder, Charmander's future physique would be vastly different.
Heath envisioned a muscular Charmander, and even a muscular Charizard after evolution. He chuckled at the thought, finding it quite exciting.
"Do you think it'll look like this?" A strange voice echoed in Heath's mind. He turned and saw a Pokémon.
A Charmander with a muscular body but a delicate face, reminiscent of a certain character from an old anime. Heath shivered.
"Zorua!" Heath scolded softly. Zorua reverted to its original form and made a funny face.
