Chi Wu nodded: "She was dropped in front of Wei's fur shop, personally delivered by Tie Lao Er. He left as soon as the shop staff discovered her."
Wufu put down the bowl and said, "It seems that Tie Lao Er is indeed an accomplice, or at least has connections with those traffickers. Have you located the hideout yet?"
She was not a savior who would step in to help whenever she saw injustice, but human traffickers were truly despicable. Innocent girls being kidnapped, separated from their families, and sometimes even abandoned by their families later because of stigma was truly heartbreaking.
So if it's something unseen or unknown, it would be let go. But since there are clues and a chance to rescue, why not do it? Isn't there a saying, saving a life is more meritorious than building a seven-story pagoda?
