Chapter 53 - t

Ajax scowled. "Don't even think of messing with this, Ceil. If you try anything, I swear I'll tear you out of my soul."

Ceil chuckled, amused. "Relax, boy. I won't meddle with it. Just a little study, nothing more."

With an irritated sigh, Ajax tuned Ceil out. Today was his wedding; he wasn't about to let a meddling voice ruin it. Ceil could study all he wanted as long as the contract remained untouched.

As the ceremony drew to a close, members of Willow's family and other guests came forward to greet the couple. Finally, hours later, the festivities wound down, and Ajax and Willow were led to their suite—a room adorned with rare flowers, sparkling jewels, and lavish decorations.

Entering together, they settled onto the massive, king-sized bed, a quiet tension hanging in the air. Minutes passed in silence until Willow broke it. "Sir Ajax, my name is Willow," she said softly, reintroducing herself.

Ajax replied, "I'm Ajax. Though, I'd say we're already… well-acquainted, wouldn't you?"

Willow moved closer, placing a gentle hand over his. "Would you like to know more about the functions of our contract?" she asked, her voice both tender and curious.

Ajax shook his head. "No, Willow, I don't need to know any of the details. Honestly, I don't care about the specifics."

Willow chuckled, amused. "You may not want to know, but I'll tell you anyway. This is a powerful marriage contract—stronger than any soul bond. Even if one of us dies and our soul shatters, the other can search for them across lives. And if we both die, we'll be reborn and drawn back together as husband and wife in the next life." She paused, about to explain more, but Ajax stopped her, pulling her close.

"Listen, my wife, your husband is tired," he murmured softly, holding her in his arms. "We're connected now, even deeper than any soul connection, so don't worry about explaining it. Whatever you want, I'm here with you."

Willow was taken aback by Ajax's boldness. She had expected their feelings to grow gradually, but his sudden warmth and confidence made her smile. She leaned back, resting her head against his chest. "Fine," she whispered, "if that's what you want, I won't bother with details."

Turning fully toward him, she wrapped her arms around his neck and looked into his eyes with a smirk, seeing the desire in his gaze. A spark ran through Ajax, igniting a new, intense feeling that he couldn't deny.

"So," he murmured, "where do we start?"

Without a word, Willow leaned in, pressing her lips to his, and their passionate kiss deepened. Their lips parted, tongues entwined, savoring each other until they were both breathless, their hearts racing in unison.
